I've never heard of that. I like maple or chocolate flavoured.

You made the escape room in your house?

Oh no! It's a place set up for it. It's like going to do laser quest or something like that, but this one has a bunch of locked rooms all differently themed. You get locked in one of them, and they can watch you on the cctv in there, and send you hints by radio or on a screen if you need help. The one we were in had a bunch of paddocked gates to get through first of all before you even got into the main puzzle room. Some of it was just finding keys, some was finding codes, or magnets to open boxes, and there was a big puzzle we had to solve which had many clues and code-deciphering as part of it.

I've never heard of anything like that over here. I'm with Rita. I'd be freaked out. But as long as you enjoyed it.

This weekend will be Thanksgiving for me. Planning a turkey dinner on Sunday.

That sounds nice, Chris.

It was a little freaky at first, but once you're stuck into the playing and puzzle-solving you don't have time to feel freaked out by it.

I can be a bit claustrophobic. Being locked in a room would not be my idea of fun.

I can get claustrophobic, too. Somehow I was fine though, just got on with searching around the area for clues. The thing is you know there's someone watching if you need them, you have a walkie-talkie so you're not cut off, and it's not like I was alone either, so I felt fine in that respect.

Having the walkie-talkie would help, but I still think I'd find it stressful.

Hubby got up early today and made us scrambled eggs for breakfast. I don't want quite that much food first thing, so didn't eat all of mine, but it was still a nice gesture.

That's sounds a very nice gesture. I rarely have a cooked breakfast.

I've got a bit of a head cold at the moment. I'm going out running tonight. I hope I manage okay.

I'd rather have eggs at lunch.

Claire - I hope you're feeling better.

I'm feeling a bit better thanks, Chris. I did feel a bit better after our run. The running went well too, my stamina finally feels like it's getting better.

We've been putting up a shed in the garden today to put our bikes into. Hopefully we'll finish putting the roof on tomorrow.

I'm not that fond of eggs.
