Oh! Thanks for the news, Val. He was in Heroes and a few other shows I've seen.

Wish I could see "Twin Peaks," but I don't have Showtime. I think the original series is on Netflix or Hulu, so maybe they'll pick up the new one, too.

I haven't seen Heroes yet but I saw Prison Break. He's a good actor I just hope he's not playing bad guy in this, break the mold!

Twin Peaks is great, I resumed it recently because I never finished it and it's coming back next year and I read somewhere Amanda Seyfried will be on this?

Did the earlier Twin Peaks have just one season?

Amanda's been on a lot, but I know her best for Mean Girls, Jennifer's Body and Les Miserables, if this is true I'm surprised she's doing tv! She's no A lister but she's a moderately famous Hollywood actress.

Original Twin Peaks had two seasons, the second from what I see is very long, but it seems like many shows despite critical acclaim it was cancelled probably for low audience.

I've noticed that a great many A & B-list actors are gravitating to television, particularly the anthology-type series that have a set number of episodes and are done (such as Fargo).
The roles are juicy but don't require an endless commitment.

I haven't heard about "Childhood's End" either. I was planning to watch Syfy's "The Expanse" tonight.
They're introducing 2 new shows the same night?

I watched the first ep of "The Expanse" this afternoon. Mostly, it was introducing characters and setting up the storyline. I liked it pretty well and will give it a further look.

"Childhood's End" does look good. I watched all the promos this afternoon.
2 hrs/night for 3 nights in a row is quite a commitment, tho; so we've decided to wait and hope for it to be streamed commercial-free in the future.
