I like the name Leitha, from The Redemption of Althalus and also Imrhien from The Bitterbynde Trilogy and Rubyn from this other trilogy [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

Two cats both named after Anne McCaffrey characters - Gemma & Nerilka (though everyone thinks it's Norelco!!!). Nerilka's litter-mate was Moreta, but she died when she was only a couple months old. [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

I named a blazer I have the Scully blazer because it just likes like something she would wear. I also named my robo pup Spike based on the character from Buffy. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

I had three small birds that I named Dar, Tao and Rak (short of Sharak), charactrs from the BeastMaster TV show.

I haven't otherwise done anything else. Our othre birds had Harry Potter type names, but those names are either Latin or very common names. Our names were Molly, Oliver, Arthur and Lily. Just neat coincidence more than anything else.

My computer is named Villie, from Roswell. (Isabel... Vilandra...)

That's about it. Oh, some of my Diablo II characters. My cold-specializing sorceress is IcePrincess and my paladin is Alex.

i've always wanted to name my daughter Aurora Hazel - Aurora from disney's sleeping beauty, & hazel just sounds & looks good with it. i also like Ikari and Asuka from Evangelion.
and, for a boy i like donalbain from Macbeth, but i don't think i'd ever give that as a first name, & i used to like Nemo from 20000 leagues, but that won't work anymore, stupid pixar!!, it's a good film though.

i tape everything on tv & i give my tapes names, including - Faramir, Meriadoc (love LotR), Stebbings (for peter), Tetsuo (akira), Belgarion (eddings).

I named my computer HAL, which I think was a bad move since it's singing to me now and it won't let me go outside. Not that I need the outside.

I also named my towel Zoso.

Every one of my computers is named after a mythological place. Every hard drive is a god from those pantheons. I have three cats. Oberon, Titania and Pandora. While pandora is form greek mythology, the other two are the fairy king and queen from shakespeare. Yeah, I like fantasy just a bit. [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img]

One of my neighbours used to have a black cat who I'd call Vader (his real name was Sebastian...but Vader was a much cooler name IMO, esp for a black cat [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]).

I have a toy duck named Gandalf. Not sure why I named him that. He's small, purple, pink and glittery. For some reason the first name that popped into my head was Gandalf The Duck. Tolkien would probably roll over in his grave if he knew I'd used the name of a dignified wizard for a fluffy toy duck. [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img]

Never! He'd probably get a kick out of it.

I used to have them all named after Greek Titans, then Egyptian gods, then gods of Death.....now, it's a motley crue of different things. Shrug.

I think you're right phee, Vader is a much better name.

Heh....I knew a guy in college that was waiting to turn 22 so he could move out of his parents house and change his last name to skywalker. I told him he was a bit obsessed.
