I agree with all that.

The Mick/Coraline relationship is similar to the Bill/Lorena relationship in True Blood and the Darla/Angel relationship in Buffy and Angel. Moral vampire guy is vamped by nasty vampire woman and has relationship with her and does Bad Things and then breaks up with her and goes good. And later she comes back.

I'll add Katherine/Stefan to that list It's true that it's been done. I wish we got to see more Mick/Coraline scenes though. As much as I didn't ship them, I thought their dynamic was interesting

Because of the way it ended.
If my mind isn't jumping to the end of the second ep right now, it ends with Mick on the floor drinking the blood and Beth walking in to see him.
I just thought that was mean. Glad that we got the second ep right away here.

Ep 2 isn't great. Some idiot who gets out of prison isn't a very interesting foe. But it does mark when Beth finds out Mick's a vampire (though he doesn't explain it to her until the next ep).

Overall I was rather underwhelmed with the second episode.

While I thought the storyline itself had an interesting premise, but thought it could have been dealt with better overall.

Not enough Josef in this episode for my liking

The ending did open the way to Beth finding out about Mick's vampire secret, so that was good. Even thought the scene was a bit gross from Beth's point of view.

Okay, it was ep 2 when Beth found out about Mick's being a vampire in the end. But the fact remains, that I didn't like the end.
Not because of what happened, but because of how it ended.

Sorry..forgot to reply after I watched last Wednesday

Yea, this is one of the weakest episodes to me. The guy was so obviously bad and there really wasn't a lot of mystery. It served it's purpose for bringing Beth to the truth about Mick's vampire stuff, but it wasn't that fun of an episode.
