Peter Jacksons' kids were in the beginning of FOTR, they were the little kids listening to Bilbo's story at the party.

Viggo's son played an Orc that he killed in ROTK (during the scene where Aragorn saves Eowyn from the Orc general).

Fran Walsh's sort-of cameo was the Wraith's evil shreik. Most of what you hear them shreiking is Fran's actual scream.

If I think of any more I'll post them here.

Now that you mention the scene in FOTR, John Crichton, my memory returns. I think I even pointed it out to my friends when we had a marathon a few years ago.

Jackson's kids were also in the caves in TTT. I'm sure they were also in ROTK but I'm coming up blank right now.

Viggo's son was also the boy who Aragorn helped with the sword in TTT.

I heard the news about the Tolkien estate.....I hope it's settled out of court....but honestly, as much $$$ as New Line brought it, how did it forget to do all of this?

Forget? Naw. They probably followed common entertainment accounting practices that are capable of reducing a box office return of $1 billion into a profit of only $1.

I did.

I actually went to Waitomo Caves when i was there...and yes the glow worms were very pretty.

The country is beautiful, and only enforces the idea that I'll have to get over my undesire to spend 24 hours in a can to fly there.

24 hours!!! Crap thats a long time, i can see why you haven't been there. It only took me 3 hours actual travel time plus 2 hours once i got there for the time difference.
