Ohhh yeah they are

I can't believe the season is almost over that went by so quickly! I'm pretty sure there will be a second season, but it'd still be nice to get the official word soon..

I agree. I'm sure there'll be a second season. I can't repeat this often enough but Merlin is my favorite new show this year.

I'm still waiting for Uther to sing though...

I loved today's episode so so much I think that was my favourite episode to date!

JOE DEMPSIE!! I adore him, but I have to say, can he please do a show next where he DOESN'T die? he's good at it though, that scene almost made me tear up

I was a bit disappointed that Arthur still doesn't know about Merlin, the trailer for this episode sure was misleading but I guess it's not the right time yet, so it's all good.

And oh, all the Arthur/Merlin moments! They're not even TRYING to hide it, are they? so much love

That being said, I practically ship everyone on that show, I can pretty much cross-ship the main four each way and I like them all... Though Arthur/Merlin will remain my OTP, of course

Me too, but I think he has to grow more independent from the views of Uther until he can really know about Merlin. God knows, they may be friends but if Arthur had known about Merlin's power, he would've just ignored that because he is the future King after all. He has to maintain the respect of his people.

Yeah that's definitely true a lot more probably has to happen before Merlin's secret really is safe with him. I do think their bond is already very strong - but not unbreakable yet. And it would also help if Arthur had a positive experience with magic again - thinking that Will saved all their lives with magic already helps a little, but he first needs to see that not all magic is evil and dangerous before Merlin can trust him completely.

Tell me about it, in my more sensible moments it's a perfectly close platonic male friendship, but the slashy view is so much more fun.

So true, though I have to admit I'm not that keen on Arthur/Morgana, they are getting a bit to sibling like in their rivalry, though the scene about Morgana beating Arthur was hilarious.

I would hope Arthur is a bit suspicious, because if he isn't then he really needs to stop calling Merlin the idiot

I so agree about this last episode, it was SO amazingly great and made me all slashy-squee happy! because seriously? How could you NOT see that Merlin/Arthur make sense! and Joe Dempsie was brilliant and so heartbreakingly good!

Merlin makes me happy

I also thought Morgana was pretty kick-ass and looked great in the last ep.

It DOES seem so soon that the season is almost over I'll be looking forward to hearing about a second season

Hey guys No, don't faint. I'm probably the last person you'd expect to be posting on this thread given my recent comments about the show but you know... I think I understand how to watch it now. Plus, it stops us from taking over the DW OT thread with Merlin waffle

I just had to share this. My friend Liz left this comment on my LJ about why I should give Merlin another shot:

And it is kind of silly and clichetastic and there are ANACHRONISTIC VEGETABLES
That's it, I'm sold. Anachronistic vegetables? Awesome.

Oh dear, do I keep saying it a lot? I must make the effort to stop

Have you guys been on the Merlin BBC website much? I like how much effort they put into these things now with all the fun little hidden videos and images etc. But I found a really awesome pic of Merlin and Arthur yesterday which I wanted to post on here and now I can't find it again. A website obviously aimed at kids has baffled me once again
