This Faramir and Eowyn discussion is killing me inside. If it weren't for the extended version, Luke would never have known about them.

I know! :thud: It kills me that it was left out. :(

Hmm, not to sure, think it would be weird to have a stand alone character thread when all other threads are TV Show/Movie related. I think it's relevant to this thread for now.
^That's what I want adapted the most, but if it isn't Ian McKellan then I don't want to know. |
isn't he getting old?
He's always been old, but if they're going to do Gandalf's story of how he is an angel sent down etc, they need to just use Ian, before he keels over. Anyone else playing him would be catastrophic. I'd be willing to accept a new one if they did a re-make, but if not then it will be hard. It was hard enough accepting a new Dumbledore. :rotfl:
this would be a prequel, so I think a younger person will do just fine
Gandalf doesn't age though?
so he came to Middle Earth the way he looks now?
In the novels/films, yes. Gandalf doesn't age in Middle Earth. In the novels he has roamed middle-earth for over 2,000 years and never aged.
I don't mind a new actor as long as they cast the person well. I wanted Ian Holm to come back but Martin Freeman turned out to be a great choice.
It would have been too hard to make Ian look young
How many names and titles does Aragorn have? It's almost ridiculous
Well he does live a long life... :)
