Is the musical one the one where they were on Kai's planet? I forget at times, it's been so long.

Well the musical tells the story of Kai's planet, its people and Kai himself. However, it takes place at a "Theatre" they find which is floating around in the centre of the universe.

Also so good not to be alone here!

Besides the fact that it was a musical, and we finally got to see Tweedle show some spine, this ep at last tried to explain what was up with Kai's people, and why they sent just a handful of those bug fighters to tangle with the Megashadow before it destroyed their world at the beginning of the pilot Lexx ep.

That ep was also the source of one of my favourite Lexx quotes:

"The show IS the show, it NEVER changes."

Didn't they actually get to Kai's planet once.

They had cross sections of some of the population...and the suns were alive or something.

That was the original planet of Brunnis which appears in the TV movie Super Nova. Kai was from Brunnis 2, which is where Kai's people moved to after leaving Brunnis. Brunnis is in the Dark Zone, Brunnis 2 is in the parallel Light Universe.

All of which I remember now because I finally pulled out my old Lexx DVDs and started rewatching the series last week. It's been years since I watched it, I'd forgotten some pretty fundamental details of the series (like the fact that the Lexx needs a captain with a key to function).

I used to mod both the official forum and chat room, as well as the Lexx FAQ, and have met most of the main actors and writers of the series. But I lost interest sometime during S4 (I've only seen about half of that season), despite being involved in the campaign to actually make S4.

But recently I was listening through my TV/movie soundtrack playlist, and I came across the songs from Brigadoom, and I remembered how much I loved that ep. So now I'm going back and watching the entire series again.

Please finish season 4 this time.

It is slow to get going at the beginning, but the season comes together for the big ending in the final 6 episodes.

It's the season where they go to Earth, and yes Prince and Bunny are there.

So far I've made it through the movies and season 2.

The movies have their charms, but they are mostly introduction and weirdness, and the sets were too bright and temporary-looking (particularly the Lexx interior).

I really fell in love with the show in the late 90s when Season 2 first aired, and I wondered if it would still hold up 10 years later. And I think it does - in fact, some of the eps that bugged me a bit at the time I like better today, when seen in the context of the whole season. And I still think Lexx S2 had one of the best season-long story arcs I've ever seen - just the right mix of stand-alone eps and a huge overall story that builds gradually to an intense conclusion. The show had a good mix of creepy and funny, and the characters first sketched out in the movies are better developed throughout this season.

My favourite ep of Season 2 is still Brigadoom, I was always mostly a Kai fan. I tend to like the eps that feature Kai or show some different side of him, like Wake the Dead or Twilight. And of course, Mantrid is a great Big Bad, so I also like the eps where he's involved ... Mantrid, Norb, Brizon and End of the Universe.

Season 2 was definitely my favourite season. For the exact same reasons as you have stated.
