Sci-Fi/Fantasy - Info Wanted on SF Story

In late 1969 or early 1970 I sold a science fiction short story to Universal Publishing, the company that then published IF and Galaxy magazines, as well as some one-off titles. They paid me $50 and said it would appear in "one of our magazines."

My life was changing a lot about then -- got married, moved to a new city, went to grad school -- so I never followed up to see if the story was ever actually published. Can anyone help, or suggest how I could research this?

It would have appeared under my name, Ian Angus. The title I gave it was "Flying" but they might have changed that.

No I don't know where it would have been published. The acceptance letter only said "one of our magazines" and I never heard from them again/

Well, I'm afraid the name "Ian Angus" doesn't appear in the ISFDB, so that pretty much rules out Galaxy and IF. Might still have appeared in an unindexed one-off, though.

It's also possible that it was resold to a production company, or they could have just used the concept, stripping out the details.
