I, Robot Appreciation #1

I, Robot !
I really liked this movie...
Will Smith, in one of his best perfomances ever, rages against the machines in this mind-blowing, sci-fi action thriller....

Did anyone saw this movie? Or are going to order this dvd???

The dvd came out on Dec. 14, just in time for the holiday season! hehehehehe :D
I'll buy one for me, as a christmas gift! It has lots of bonus and features...,

I picked up the DVD, but I haven't seen it yet.

I loved this film. And I could wax lyrical about it for hours if I had to, I wrote a 3000 word essay on it last week :D

I haven't seen the movie yet, glad to hear it's good. :)

You should probably specify (movie) in the subject line, since there's also a story by Isaac Asimov with the same title, but is completely different.

I saw this movie when it was playing in theaters, and I also liked it! :D

Rach ~ A 3000 page essay! Wow!

So, has anybody here read the book? What are the differences between the movie and the book?

Isn't it a series of books, and the movie isn't so much a movie of a book as it is taking the characters and ideas and coming up with a plot than encompasses the basic themes of the books.

I've never read them ... I think they'd be hard work, for me at least.

I was surprised by the movie, I liked the plot, Will Smith is excellent in it. It was supposed to happen in 2035, right? It's way too soon, IMO.

Laws are made to be broken... ;)

I haven't read it but I always thought that the original book was a collection of short stories.

Ahhh, that's probably what it is. Like I said, I don't think they're the kind of stories I'd like to read and I'd never heard of them til the movie came out, so you're probably right :)

This was definitely a better movie than I expected. Although the last half hour is very predictable and almost too sweet, the rest of the movie is worth watching.

I liked the whole fighting scene on the roof. My mom didn't dare to watch just because she's afraid of heights. I kept telling her that it was them who was on the roof and not her but she didn't listen!

I remember reading the originals by Isaac Asimov when I was a kid so I actually expected more from the movie.

I loved this movie!! Will Smith was so good in this movie! I loved how he had a robotic arm! Now i need to watch this again! hahaha!

One of his better movies, along with I Am Legend, which is my favourite of his.
