Hello everyone!

This year we are replacing all previous Standard Avatars on all Fanforum message boards, we figured it was time for an update!

Info & Schedule:

• There will be an overall of 5 avatars per board added to Fan Forum.
• All Moderators will pick 10 together and you will then select the final 5 from those 10 in a poll.
• Mods: Feel free to participate in the icon making process. Please be fair in selecting the avatars.

Rules:

• Please don't include any text on the avatars. (Actual text)
• No animated avatars.
• All avatars must be 100px by 100px.
• All avatars should be a general representation of the board and topic.
• You may submit up to 5 avatars (no more) per person per board.
• You may create your avatar(s) however you like - but no text or animation.
• Do not submit any previous standard avatars, or take another person's avatars claiming them as your own. You must make them yourself.

Please only submit avatars that you have made yourself. You can see the icons we have already uploaded in the Edit Avatar page of your User CP.

You may start posting your avatars here right away!

Deadline: 19 february
PM running wild for any questions, concerns, and for mods: submitting the top 10.

Please try to avoid subjects that already have boards on Fanforum. They're already garanteed to get avatars from those boards.

Jade - Like I stated before.... Perhaps it's better to submit them for Star Trek, Supernatural etc instead of Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

I don't understand what's wrong with them. It's hard to represent this board otherwise. I used the most popular Sci-Fi related things. Like that rule makes things very hard, the television board for example... how are we to represent it when majority of the TV shows have their own boards? If you get what I mean?

I think i'll stick to my submissions, if that's okay? If none of them are adequate the moderators can also opt not to select from my 5, which I don't mind.

When you go through the threads on this board there are plenty of subjects that do not have a board, same with the Television or celebrities board. Think of Lord of the Rings or sci-fi movies or just sci-fi/fantasy elements like dragons and pirate ships.

The point of the Standard Avatars is yes, in first place to represent a board but in second place it's to give new and old posters a chance to pick an icon that fits their needs. There will already be 5 Supernatural avatars and 5 Star Trek avatars, and so on. Wouldn't you rather pick something that won't get representation on a different board?

So yes, moderators, when you send in your top 10, I would appreciate it if none of those are actually Avatars that do have a board here.
