Twilight isn't about vampires, it's about teenagers with sharp teeth.
Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

Thanks for starting up the thread.

I'm up to the end of S5 on the DVD's for Hercules. I think the show doesn't get a fair shake b/c most average people "take it seriously", and if you ask Kevin Sorbo and Michael Hurst...they'll tell you. The actual "fans" of the show loved, yes...all the action, and morality but also it's a fun show. The fact that they aren't afraid to "stretch" it and make fun of themselves and just make it entertaining. I've really enjoyed watching the Hercules DVD's for the past six weeks, and it was a good addition to my DVD collection.

I've gained so much respect for the cast, esp. Kevin Sorbo who is a good person first and foremost, a great family man and actor. He loves his fan, from what I've seen on the various websites and it's grateful for the role of Hercules.

Jerry...How much do you know about Andromeda? I found it, it ran for 5 seasons and it was cancelled in 2005?

On a side note, the guest stars on the show are very good, my favorite has to be Alex Tydings, with a close second to Hudson Leick. It's so hard to choose, they all bring a different side to the show. I'll have to make a more extensive list. Oh, and the show doesn't work as well after Eolas died for the 3rd time in S5. Gotta have the Kevin & Michael on screen chemistry to make it as good as it could be.

I saw a commercial for VH1's "Shooting Sizemore" and they showed Tom Sizemore bumping into Kevin Sorbo in a waiting room/lobby of some sort. Not sure what was going on or if watching the show would get you a better explanation.

I know a lot about andromeda....

In fact...here's our thread about it...

http://www.fanforum.com/f118/androme...85/index9.html

My favourite of the series is the lady that played Xena's daughter, and for some reason I can't think of her name right now.....a close second would be the red-headed Irish girl.

the red headed Irish girl would be Tamara Gorski, who played Morgan. Hercs foe and then friend/love interest for most of S5. She was one of their biggest guest stars during the run of the series.

I was watching the cast interviews with Kevin Sorbo and Michael Hurst, and the plan was for Hercules to go 7 seasons, but Kevin Sorbo wanted to move on to other projects and turned that down, and they ended up doing 8 episodes in S6 to give the show proper closure for the main characters.

So I have 8 more episodes to watch and I'll be done with the Hercules DVD's. I'm very glad I purchased them, it's been fun to watch the episodes in order and on DVD.

Did you buy each season as a box set or did the series come complete with all episodes contained in an uber-box set?

Whatever her name is, she's got great eyes....especially to contrast with the hair.

It's Tamara Gorski...Man you are bad with names of actors. Red hair, and she is so small, esp. compared to 6'4 Kevin Sorbo.

I'll have to make a final list of the Herc "hotties", but even Kevin and Michael were joking about the fact that they called the show "Baywatch B.C.", since it featured hot looking women as guest stars in "revealing outfits".

They have a boxed set, but it cost me less to purchase them individually from amazon.com here in the US.

S1 , which was the 5 made for TV movies and S1 13 episodes -15 bucks.
S2-6, all episodes 21.99 each.

When you add them all up, it's less than the boxed set.

What are you talking about Jerry?

Nevermind. Well, I finished the last season on DVD yesterday. I have to say it was bitter sweet but well done. Unlike the ending of "Xena", "Herc." ended the way it should have, I mean they even brought back Ares, Hera, Nemessis and the Titans! Go out with a bang, the last comic bit of Michael and Kevin and their "retirement" was awesome. I enjoyed the cast interviews, and the post wrap party speeches, esp. Kevin Sorbo. He never seizes to amaze me. What a great guy. He will be always known as "Herc" to a whole generation of fans, me included, since I was a teenager when I watched the show in the 90's.

I guess in a few months I'll get started on "Xena" S1 DVD set.

Alexandra Tydings...still best female guest star on the show!

Official Alexandra Tydings Web Site

I'm waiting on amazon.com to lower the price on Xena DVD's but they don't! No way am I paying over 30 bucks for any of the seasons.
