Veritas: The Quest Appreciation #1

Anyone a fan of this show? It's being screened in the UK on the Sci-Fi channel and I'm absolutely hooked. It's got a great cast of characters and some really interesting storylines at the moment.

I watched it when it was on the air in the US. I loved that show. I wish they had continued it. Hopefully we'll get it on DVD but I don't know if they even made enough eppies for it to be released.

There's about 13 episodes. I think only 5 of them aired, though I seen the other 8 or so. Pretty good, I liked the Antarctica episode.

I was enjoying this when it disappeared. That seems to be the story of my life these days with SciFi television.

But Kathy! Andromeda is going there!

Sides, skiffy messes everything up.

Nah, I just meant science fiction TV in general, not the SciFi channel in particular. Although what I said might work for that too.

I think we're on about episode 8 at the moment. I did hear that it was pulled off the air in the US due to poor ratings. I would love it if they released it on DVD but I really doubt that they will. Not many people seem to have heard of it.

Part of the problem was that it aired on ABC which isn't know for it's scifi and then it also started about the time ABC decided to air war coverage 24/7 and felt that hearing the president's speech for the 20th time that day was more important than airing a tv show even though they aired Alias on schedule. Dumb ABC... they would show previews that they were going to air an eppy and then at the last minute they would change it to some other crap and people just couldn't find it. Heck I missed it once because they changed it's air time and didn't tell anyone. I nearly missed it another time because they changed the air time again but I just got lucky and was flipping channels and saw it. The show never had a chance here. I think if they were to bring it back and actually show it on schedule it would bring in a decent crowd. It just never got the chance to try.

Uh You do know that Andromeda's upcoming 5th season is going to be it's last??

I loved Veritas:The Quest But it got a really bad break due to the war.
ABC promised to show the rest of the episodes during the summer and then reneged

Does anyone know how many episodes of the show they actually made? We're currently on episode 10 and I'm really hoping that they're going to show a whole season.

Not quite sure, but you can check www.tvtome.com and it should give you a complete list.

Thanks for that link, I'll check it out

I have to admit that part of my reason for liking the show so much is that I love Eric Balfour that plays Calvin He seems to have this uncanny knack of appearing on nearly every show on television at least once!

Whoah, only showing 4 episodes isn't really giving the show a fair chance is it! I really wish I'd taped the show now, so I could rewatch it when it's finished. I'll keep my fingers crossed for dvds though.
