The reality is that personal matters DO get posted on boards and when they do it's good manners for people to refrain from butting in, whether they feel entitled to or not. Note, this between you and me is a personal matter and I notice you haven't taken it to PM, instead you're dealing with on the board. These things happen.

I really liked that movie, it had a good story.
Didn't see it. I'm not eager to see films with Julianne Moore in them. She gives me a pain.

I liked the concept of "The Forgotten", but I think the execution of the movie lacked.

I don't know if I really have one....maybe anything that Mila plays. I like her characters.

Twilight isn't about vampires, it's about teenagers with sharp teeth.
Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

I love Milla, she's a good action actor. The Resident Evil movies is one of my favorite trilogies.

Plus there are rumors she's considering signing on for a fourth RE.

The first Resident Evil movie was very good, the second one was brilliant, the third one was total crap.

The third wasn't as good as the first two, but I still liked it.

The ending is what I liked most:

Spoiler:
When you see Alice looking at all the clones of her that are dead.

I still have only seen the first movie back in 1998ish. I found it good but lame because it was barely related to the story of the game itself. The only part of that film that was similar to the game were the final 5 minutes of it. In short, it was a total let down in my eyes. I have not been in the mood to watch any of the sequels since.

Heh, Clint, 2 has Nemesis in it. Though you'd probably be disappointed in that as well.

Still, 3 was just 2 different. It needed more zombies and creepiness. it didn't get that until the end when she's facing the good doctor, and that fight was over 2 quickly.

I wouldn't mind seeing a fourth, but it'll have to wait for Clock Tower, which she just signed on for.

Anyone have any movie recommendations for sci/fi movies that were good, but didn't get a lot of praise?

Waterworld. *bring on the ridicule from ALL who read this post* It is highly underrated, especially these days when environmental issues are the top stories, well, 2nd from the top lately other than economic collapse.

sum1: The poster with no name? That is my name - what is yours? *I get the reference*

I liked 'Samurai Girl' when they mentioned 'Find your inner-Clint...'

From a longer article about various castings:

Brad Pitt is going for a Homer run, signing on to star in a big-screen adaptation of The Odyssey, following up his star turn in 2004's Troy, an adaptation of the Greek poet's other major work, The Iliad. This time around, the take won't be quite as faithful to the text—according to Variety, the new version will take place in a futuristic setting in outer space.

and

Christina Ricci and Liam Neeson have risen up to After.Life, a punctuation-loving psychological thriller centering on a woman caught between life and death and the funeral director gifted with helping such beings transition but who may have less-than-admirable intentions. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Ricci replaces Kate Bosworth in the lead.

and

Kevin Smith is going out of this world for his next project, developing a futuristic space comedy per The Hollywood Reporter that will revolve around a father-son relationship.
