It's funny sometimes, things get cancelled and you can't work out why....

What’s the most advanced concept you’ve seen in sci fi?

I was trying to think of something that sci fi introduced that completely boggled my mind; but I drew a blank. A planck-scale particle accelerator was the closest I ever thought of. What about you?

I find those fascinating too. The possibility of eliminating the factors of time and space would solve everything.

I don't know how much it features in sci-fi, but I'd like technology where all matter could be transformed by taking it apart at subatomic level and made into anything else.

As for a concept, I would love to be able to connect my consciousness to another entity and I don't mean person. They say that all matter 'remembers' and if we could understand them, we could be gain vital knowledge and break down our barriers in current thinking.

I don't know if this is the kind of stuff you're looking for

I'll have to think about that! I'm sure something must have made me feel that way at some point...

How tragic! It's awful when someone dies so young.

Is sci fi too weird for the average TV viewer?

I enjoyed The Expanse but have never met anyone irl who enjoys it. Is sci fi simply too weird for the average person?

What would it take to get the reality show watching masses to watch something with a spaceship in it? Would it have to be a realistic astronaut show with soap opera mixed in?

That describes the astronaut stuff coming out. Nat Geo's "The Right Stuff", Apple TV's "For All Mankind", and Netflix's "Away".
