sadly i wont be able to do the rewatch
not able to hook up my dvd player, apparently its not compatable with my new tv. i have to buy a new player and i dont have the money for that right now

I'm on the US East Coast, so I'm going to try to watch around 1 or 2 PM tomorrow today. That would approximately correspond to evening (7-8 PM) in Europe.

How does this rewatch work? Is there a time everyone watches together, or do we just watch sometime on Sunday and come here to post comments?

It's very informal. Watch on Sunday if possible, but a few days before or after if you can't find time on Sunday. We'll have a week to discuss each episode.

My impressions:
  • - I still don't think opening with the flashback to MaL & Zoe at the Battle of Serenity was a good choice. It would have been better to give us this info in a flashback later in the episode.
  • - @ Mal's We're too pretty to die
  • - LOVE Wash playing with his dinosaurs!
  • - Kaylee realizing she can't get down after she turned off the power
  • - Kaylee's approach to Book, his because how you get there is the worthier part, and her eating the strawberry
  • - Mal has such great lines! Telling Simon that Jayne's job is public relations!
  • - Jayne coming across as such a rude badass, but standing outside watching Kaylee's surgery
  • - the crate, Mal's reaction & River waking up
  • - the whole showdown with Patience
  • - Zoe telling Mal to take the ship so she can have time with Wash.

Overall, a great episode. It's amazing how believable all the characters are and how much chemistry they have together right from the start.

I watched the episode, checked here and no one had posted yet, so I watched the 2 episodes of Librarians I had missed last week.

Chris, love your comments! Those were some of the high points for me, too .. but I'm grateful for the battle scenes at the beginning, for background. Then, "Six years later" made sense.

So many great quotes in this episode!
