Thanks for starting the new thread!

Rach: Good to see you here!

So what is everyone's favorite episode (besides the original pilot)?

Mine would have to be Ariel. I just love the hiest that they set up. The planning and detail that was shown. And then what Jayne did and the resulting conflict from that. Plus the ending of Mal knowing that Jayne had screwed them.

My next favorite is a tie between three episodes War Stories, Safe, and Out of Gas. I love all of these episodes and if I had to choose it would probably be in that order.

Has anyone here seen the Anime (Japanese Animation) series called 'Cowboy Bebop' ? It reminds me a LOT of Firefly when I watch it, even its music a lot of the time! Yet, this came out before Firefly.....:/

Hey Jenn!

Oooh, that's a toughie. I introduced one of my friends to the show the other week and before almost every episode I said "This is one of my favourites..." We watched all of them, in the end, she actually refused to go home until she'd seen them all which meant she didn't go for her train til 7 at night instead of lunchtime We watched about six episodes that last day

Anyway! I think it might have to be Jaynestown, although Shindig, Out of Gas, Our Mrs Reynolds and Heart of Gold come really close. Ohhh and Objects in Space. Out of Gas is so clever, but I love Jaynestown for its humour. And it's Simon/Kaylee moments. Ohhhh and The Message. Damnit I really *can't* choose! I love the funny episodes. I love Mal's reaction to getting a wife in OMR, and HoG is really touching and basically Mal finally "gets some", and I surprised myself my rooting for him so much even though it wasn't Inara! And I felt soso bad for Inara crying in that room...and Shindig had Kaylee's big dress and Mal's "a swhat?" and lots of other fun things. And River putting on a cockney accent.

Yep, I can't choose.

Its amazing how good this show was and each individual episode. They were all so strong and well written. I got my roommate addicted to the show. We watched it in the order that the episodes were supposed to air and at first she didn't totally love it but after awhile it grows on you. And then you look back and realize how good each episode is. Once you understand the themes and the point of the show.

Yeah, I watched the DVDs in order and I didn't really like Serenity or The Train Job, but I figured, well, I've bought & paid for them so I may as well watch them all! By the time I'd watched Shindig I adored it, and when I was done and went back and watched them over again, I liked Serenity and the Train Job a lot

Oh wow - - I change my mind, every time I see a different episode!

I'd say Out Of Gas is up there...and Our Mrs Reynolds. And Jaynestown. And Ariel.

Hell, I love 'em ALL!!!

My favorite episode (and yeah, it's a tough call) is Ariel. I liked the way that it started off pretty light, with lots of humor as Simon is teaching the others how to pretend to be paramedics (or whatever they're called in the future ), but then gets serious with Jayne's betrayal and their escape. I know that some people saw it coming, but honestly, I didn't think that Jayne would really go through with trying to turn River and Simon in. It totally surprised me. And then there was Mal's expression when he hit Jayne over the head with that wrench after figuring out what he did

And of course, there were the creepy "two by two, hands of blue" guys....
