Reasons we love Firefly
Because it's one of a kind show that became more than just a tv series.
Because the cast is out of this world amazing and we love them all.
Because it made "brown coat" another word for freedom fighter.
Because we now feel the need to use the word shiny a lot!
Because in this show the criminals are the good guys.

This was a fast episode, it was over too soon.

Very good episode, though would have been confusing for first time watchers as Serenity, as far as I remember, wasn't the original pilot, so the Reavers would have been unexplained to them.

Wait, Serenity wasn't the original pilot? then what was?
the pilot I watched last week was a 90 minute episode, though I think the guy that burned the DVD for me must have blended two together

so this would have been the first time Reavers were mentioned? weird

I quite liked it, very very memorable, I was thinking of the interrogation scene the whole time I watched the pilot last week, one of my favorite episodes I think, or at least the one that's stuck with me the most

4.5/5 stars, mostly because I know there's better episodes later.

ETA: I think they started with The Train Job.

No Serenity is the Pilot.

Humm, well 3,5 for me, it was very good, but not even close to being the best.

Though I loved the scary feeling of the episode and how things suddenly got very real for them, this show does dark and light very well.
