Damn near impossible choice for me. Not really (Firefly all the way), but I mourn Pushing Daisies almost as much!

I've never seen "Pushing Daisies" but I know it has a hard-core fandom. Nevertheless, Firefly appears to be an easy winner.

Not that it will matter.

Run. Don't walk. RUN. Immediately. Go get the S1 DVDs of Pushing Daisies.

And thank me later.

I tried Pushing Daises, but it just never appealed to me.

I fell completely in love with Firefly after the first episode I watched. I would rank it easily in the top 20 TV shows EVER.

Me too. The episodes have really weathered the test of time. During the rewatch, I can't say I've noticed anything that really dates the series.

I agree, Chris, and I think it's because Serenity was already a junkyard ship (à la Milennium Falcon), Space was more like the Wild West, and Joss steered clear of the technology that got them there for the most part.

I hadn't particularly noticed that, but you're right. For the most part, everything was very low tech.

With broadcast ratings declining, we’ve now crossed Firefly singularity threshold – it’s 2003 average is now big enough to not get canceled.
At last.

Of all the setbacks, you’ve said Fox canceling Firefly was the hardest, that for a while you were incapable of thinking about doing TV afterward. How frustrated did you get?
I wasn’t frustrated; I was heartbroken. A huge amount of energy went into getting [Firefly’s big-screen continuation] Serenity made. I had this four-year deal with Fox to do television, and I gave it up the last year. They were like, “How dare you!” I was like, “I just saved you an enormous amount of money.” A lot of my friends were like, “Just ride it out and don’t write anything.” But I knew in my heart I got nothing. It had been ripped out of me, and I couldn’t get paid for that. When I directed Serenity I had trouble writing, because I had to be the guy who cuts out the writer’s favorite bits to make it work…. It was a nightmare to write—nine main characters to introduce to the audience without alienating people who already knew who they were and then keep all those balls in the air. I was all “I’m never doing that again! Sure, I’ll make The Avengers!” So dumb.
read the full joss interview here

the above part is on page 4. but thats all he says about firefly

Thank you, Jen! I'll look forward to reading the full interview.
Seems like he's still as heartbroken as the fans over Firefly's cancellation.

Thanks for bringing that over.

Interesting comments about the movie and how difficult it was to both introduce characters to new fans, but not bore established fans.

I think Joss did a good job with the movie. As a fan of the show, I didn't feel like a lot of time was wasted introducing characters to only movie goers.
