I loved the finale, I thought killing the evil queen was a bit too easy but all in all it was a good finale would not change a thing. I though for sure one or more of the main characters would die, but I was pleasantly surprise. I really like what they did at the end. The world would be no longer a bunch of separated countries but all humans and alien as a United Nation. It was a good five years. It feels good to watch a show and be invested in it and not be disappointed in the end.

I think because they only had a one hour series finale they had to make short. Maybe if they had a two hour series finale they could have make it harder. Besides we were told she was the weak link. That once she's dead the rest would die with her, but I still wish they made it harder to kill her. Also after everything they've been through I guess they needed a break. The Espheni were hard to kill because they had the Skitters and the Mecs to fight their battles, if it were only them it would have being easier, I think.

I completely agree.

There are only 3 things I had wished were different:

1.) I wish killing the evil queen had been a longer battle because that was way too simple. I loved Tom's speech and all but here she was this massive mosquito/spider monster and then her death was like 'that's it, really?'

2.) I had hoped for a bloodier battle since it was after all the 'final battle' to reach the capitol. I wanted to see more units of Tom's militias from other parts of the country/world.

3.) I really was counting on a character death. And for that I was hoping for either Weaver or Ben.

4.) Getting to see what had happened to that lone alien who helped Tom. What became of her fate?

Despite all that though I was satisfied. And I'm glad they all got their happy ending and started the world over again.

I thought for sure it was going to be Weaver who die in the series finale, then in the penultimate episode I thought it was going to be Ben and in the end I thought it was going to be Anne. But I was wrong on all counts and they all survived.

Yeah not sure how I feel about all of them surviving. I thought that was kind of a cop out.

One thing that I was kind of expecting- with the Espheni dying off I had the notion that Ben would end up dying off too because of his spikes and them being of Espheni origin and what not. I think that would have made for an even more compelling story.

It was a good finale I thought given the amount of episodes they had to work with. However, (spoilers below)

Spoiler:

it looked like they killed off Pope at the end (though I'm not 100% sure), which I think sucked. I get that the scene was essentially him and Tom forgiving each other without so much as saying it, but I would've preferred it more if they had Pope after laying the gun down, just walk away. Plus, I kind of feel like they should've had Anne stay dead. And personally? I'm just surprised we went the whole series without Dan Weaver, Hal, or Ben biting it. I thought for sure Weaver was a goner so many times this series.

I'm glad that they brought Ann back. I would have been royally pissed if she had died since she was probably my favorite character.

I agree that Anne should have stayed dead.

Overall, I was disappointed with the last season. The big queen bug...meh. It didn't do it for me.

Overall, a good series that ended a bit silly.
