Just finished Turn Coat. Molly, Mouse, Thomas, the werewolves, Butters, & Toot-toot are back. Not sure about how things ended for Thomas, but Butcher is obviously setting something up for further down the road.

I finally finished rereading through all the previous books plus the short stories, and then read Small Favor and Turn Coat for the first time, almost back to back.

To me, Turn Coat seemed sort of like the middle point of a TV season ... some things in the background of previous books came to the foreground here, and though there's still clearly a long way to go until the finale.

Spoiler:
The stuff with Thomas at the end left me very sad, both for Thomas and for Harry. After what happened to Michael in Small Favor, Morgan dying, ending the relationship with Luccio, it felt a bit like the friends and allies Harry's built up over all the other books have been dwindling. Although Harry seemed in a good place at the end, hanging out with his werewolf friends, I felt like he was more alone than he'd been in a while.

Hopefully the situation with Thomas is dealt with in the next book, and that it isn't long before he and Harry are working together again. I have a sneaking suspician though that things will get worse between them before they get better, that this is leading to a big confrontation between the two. But now I'm regretting reading the new book so quickly, I don't want to wait until next spring to see what happens

One other thing: was anyone else weirded out about the fact that a skinwalker featured so prominently in this story? Given that they also appeared in the first ep of the TV series?

Twilight isn't about vampires, it's about teenagers with sharp teeth.
Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

I am slow that way.

Yesterday I got the three latest Dresden Files audiobooks ... Proven Guilty, White Night and Turn Coat. Added to the other five Dresden audiobooks I already have, and the fact they're all unabridged, I figure that's at least 100 hours of James Marsters reading Dresden.

On the Buffy board, I remember lots of JM fans say they'd watch/listen to him reading the phone book ... 100 hours of solo audiobook work is getting kinda close to that

I tried to read the first book of the other series by Jim Butcher, Codex Alera. I just couldn't get into it. Reminded me a bit of the Wheel of Time books.
