The Dead Zone: Hoping the 5th Season Has Been Worth the Wait

It has been awhile, but the season premire of The Dead Zone is coming up soon:

The official date according to USAnetwork is Sunday June 18th at 10 pm and the episode is to be entitled Forbidden Fruit.

The Fifth season of The Dead Zone will feature the return of Dana Bright and a guest appearance by Dylan Bruno (Numb3rs).

Also in Dead Zone news is the release of the Complete Fourth Season on DVD as of June 13th. Aside from including all 11 episodes, there is no word yet on what kind of extras the DVD may include.

So feel free to post away... here's hoping this thread actually sticks around this time.

Well if anyone is interested there is a trailer for the new season up on the Official Dead Zone website at www.usanetwork.com/series/thedeadzone.

Some of the clips shown are old but some are new, so hopefully this is a sign of more updates of the site as the premire date gets closer

I've only seen the first season of this show...and I loved it. I think I'll go out and buy the DVD's...and catch up before the premiere for season five. And I remember being a big fan of Dana...

Well with season four's dvd coming out before the premire, you will definitely be able to be up to date on everything Dead Zone.

And if you feel like getting a little sneek peek into the new season, the official site has put up teaser scripts to all the eps and a little summary of each, giving us an idea of what to expect. I haven't read the scripts but I read the little summaries and we will be in for some treats this season.

I mean, I need to ask...how much does the show change from Season 1 to well...now. Because, I loved the first season...so exciting and fresh...and I am definetly getting S1/S2 this weekend...and then I'll pick up S3/S4 together as well...and I'll TiVo the new episodes so that I can watch them once I'm officially caught up...because, I remember really liking this show.

Dana is mine Ken...don't even think about her...

The show changes a lot. There are factors that you must see in the other seasons to understand this one. Between the first season and the upcoming one you learn a lot more about the past and future... that is really important.

First Kimber, now Dana...Mike, you must be stopped!

Yeah, so I attempted to get the DVD's this weekend...but, Barnes & Nobles and Suncoast did not have them...I'm going to try Best Buy tomorrow during my day off (which I am so excited about) and then dive right in.

I'll trade Kimber for Dana. Nothing beats a redhead.

The only place I've really seen the dvds is Blockbuster.

I could rent them at Blockbuster? Because, if that's the case...I'll head over tomorrow.

I was curious about The 4400...Mike, is it worth checking out?

Well.. I'm not Mike, he might disagree. But it is worth checking out! Season 1 is on dvd.. there were 6 episodes. And season 2 is having a marathon next Sunday (I think?) before season 3 starts in 2 weeks.

I saw a trailer for it...and it looks really intriguing. I was sucked into Invasion on ABC this year...and I feel like I need a show similar to sink my teeth into...and I read the description and thought...why not. Maybe I'll pick up the S1 DVD with The Dead Zone.

Btw, can I ask...after "Destiny" does the show become well...less like the show. I remember going to some websites, and people complaining about the second season because the show felt different.

It is hard for me to say because I saw season 2 so long ago. But it definitely begins to delve more into the mythos of the story and how Johnny must stop Stillson and the future armageddon. It seems like the beginning and end of each season is heavy on the ongoing story arc of Johnny's vision of the future Armageddon and then things inbetween are about "vision of the week" type stuff and ongoing drama between him, Walt and Sara.

I agree. The 4400 is worth checking out and worth watching. It's a great show. I can't wait for this upcoming season.
