Generally I keep my netflix queue full - 500 entries - but there was actually a little room yesterday so I was able to add the entire first season of Dead Like Me. Of course, my queue is full again so I will have to wait to add other seasons. I did not even look at the details of the DVDs, are there any extras?

There are a few, but not much. If I hadn't lent them out, I could go look for you. Unfortunately, I've lent out both seasons to make more fans.

There's a commentary on the pilot which I love... there's Ellen Muth, Mandy Patinkin, Callum Blue, Jasmine Guy, and Cynthia Stevenson on it if I recall... it's worth the listen

Absolutely! Even if it's only Mandy, the guy can be so funny

My husband asked for the DVD's for his birthday. He'll be unwrapping them tomorrow, at which point the rest of us will pounce on his present and check out the extras.

Now that;s a good present giver. I did the same to my wife after I gave her Family Guy vol 4

The music was pretty good, if I remember correctly.

We didn't like the deleted scenes so much, as you couldn't really tell which episodes they came from. I can't remember much of the Audio Commentary, but then again, what's new.

We watched the Behind the Scenes and Music Of extras, and thought they were pretty weak. Haven't watched the commentaries yet.

I'm thoroughly confused by the deleted scenes. This is the first time I've watched a pile of deleted scenes and been able to say "but I saw that in the episode!" at least half the time. One of my favorite scenes from the Pilot where George is typing the classic typing sentence about the quick brown fox jumping over the lazy dog wasn't in the Pilot on the DVD--that scene was in deleted scenes. And I kept telling my husband that the scene where George gets her license/SS#/passport/etc. with her new name would explain how that works....but then it wasn't in the Pilot. It was in the deleted scenes. I know I saw both of those scenes in the Pilot run on SciFi, and several of the other "deleted scenes" weren't deleted on SciFi. I've never seen DVD episodes that were shorter than the aired versions, especially in reruns where bits are cut here and there to make room for more ads. *puzzled*

Scifi Regularly does this type of thing....that way, even if you have the DVD's, there's incentive to watch the commercial cut up versions....

I can tape Dead Like Me for the next six weeks (long story, don't ask). I wonder what the likelihood is that I will actually catch all/most of the episodes I have missed?

dukesmom - Will be rooting for you to get your eps

Okay, anyone know a good site for DLM caps? Specifically season 2 (since I have one for season 1)? Poor icon maker in need here...

This is why I hate the holiday season, there's nothing to do, and they pull all the good programming off the air.

I actually don't know any good caps sites for DLM....which is odd. I know I've searched before, but I guess people just didn't cap it.

The episodes that aired today? Already seen. Maybe tomorrow's will look new to me, but I doubt it. In fact, all the titles listed above sound familiar.
