well Callum hasn't been in an episode since the 2nd one so not i'm getting annoyed lol (but he is in the opening credits)

Also the actress who played Roxy (Jasmine Guy) is on Vampire diaries. She plays Bonnie's grandmother

Love the show, absolute cult classic.

HATED the TV movie, unfortunately. Wish they hadn't bothered now.

Cody, I know what you mean. Everyone wanted to Rube dynamic, and it just wasn't there.

Rube's absence, the horrible new Daisy (who was horribly written, as well, so it wasn't just the actress' fault)... Even the reunion between George and Reggie wasn't all it should have been (especially given the circumstances made no sense given what had been established in the show...)

It just seemed like everything that could have gone wrong, did. Just finished rewatching season 2 again recently, and it was as brilliant as ever, so it just bewilders me how they could mess it up so badly. Maybe it was a bad idea to start with (esp if they couldn't get Mandy and Laura back), I dunno. Sad, though.

Cody, I think that was my big problem with the reunion between george and reggie, it went against the code....george's memory should have been wiped clean.

I didn't have a huge issue with the meeting between George and Reggie. I think that if the show went on it would've happened eventually and the end result was Reggie letting go I think. So it all kind of worked out in the end.

For me it felt like George was the only reaper character that was still in character for the most part. Sure it was a more, generally, grown up George that's accepted her role, which is how season 2 ended I think, but all the other characters seemed like they were written as major parody of themselves. They just didn't feel like their characters to me. And I hated the Daisy recast. But I'm against recasts in general with a few exceptions.

See, that's where I think i have trouble.

Season 2 was on the way of a crisis of conscience of the reapers. They're figuring out that their own actions are causing people to die, something they shouldn't be doing. That was never dealt with and it should ahve been.

Didn't they always know that their actions have consequences? That was what Rube was trying to beat over George's head throughout the first and even second season. George caused a whole bunch of people to die in the episode where she tried to play fate like Roxy did. I do think that the second season did go more in depth with the other characters on how their afterlives affected the lives of those around them.

In the second season I think a lot of the character became more well rounded and grew. In the movie it's like they decided to make caricatures of the characters. If they were allowed a third season then I think the characters would've continued on the path they were on but maybe it took too long to get the movie going and written. I don't know but the movie felt like it was written by someone who just heard about the characters but never saw or had any part of the show. Which isn't the case.

They knew that they had affect on people, but they tried to minimize it, not draw attention to themselves, thus not taking things from dead people, not interacting with family.

In the second season, george started dating, george fired that guy who came back and killed a bunch of people. It was more like there were direct consequences to what they did, just by deciding to live.
