I watch Netflix on my TV. I use my headphones to listen to iTunes on my computer just to drown out my neighbors annoying music.

Yikes! That must be frustrating.

Years ago, we were in a similar situation. The neighbours would get off shift at midnight and want to party. We wanted to sleep. Hubby put the stereo speakers right up against the wall, and blasted a song with the refrain of "I don't get mad, I even the score" bright and early - they came to the door and apologized for their music being so loud.

I had he neighbors below me blast music at 8am. it was so loud it was vibrating my floor. And I hadn't even DONE ANYTHING.

Then the dude who I share a wall with, I had to lodge a complaint with the the manager because his music was so loud, not only could I make out the lyrics of the song, but the beat could be heard even when I was wearing ear buds.

Its easier for me to watch Netflix on my tv during the week, because the dude is gone to work.

what an insensitive sob! That's just selfish and ignorant. Besides, most people listen to their music on their own earphones these days, the era of blasting music is so outdated!

The only time I listen to music without earbuds is when I;m in the shower or I'm cooking in the kitchen. All the other times, my earbuds are in cause I know no one wants to hear what I;m listening too! LOL !

The neighbors below me, don't do that with their music anymore. Which I am thankful for. I just have to contend with the jerk next door.

And for my TV, I make sure the volume on it doesn't rise above a 20. It stays between 16 and 18 as it is, cause that's loud enough for me to make out what's being said.

did you think of watching with the subtitles on? I got into the habit when my kids were small because them little things are so noisy all the time and I couldn't hear the tv properly. I still kept the habit after, it's good for all sorts!

When I am stream on Netflix, or Amazon Instant Video.... or even when I watch DVD's I have the subtittles on! LOL! I thought I was the only one to do that! hehehe!

As of right now, to keep the marathon going, I have my TV muted, and the subtittles going.

It hard for me to pay attention to whats going on when I have so many other noises happening at once. My ADHD brain tries to pinpoint each noise, and when that happens the sound get louder and that's all I focus on. It's frustrating.
