Dabel Brothers Productions #1 -> Absolutely brilliant artwork for great stories

This is just holding a spot for when I can get some of the pictures reposted.

In the most recent news....the Anita Blake series recently had Brett Booth named as the artist. I love his artwork, and can't wait for the story to come through the pages.

Twilight isn't about vampires, it's about teenagers with sharp teeth.
Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

Thank you, Cryostar my friend, I was away last week and did not have access to internet. But I'm back now

For those of you who were not able to get a copy of Red Prophet, either because your comic stores were sold out or because you are overseas, you can buy it here

It's still a shame that my stores aren't picking it up...but I've got the order form, hopefully he'll take it.

Kahn, you don't know how many are in an order from Diamond, do you? 20, 35?

Re:

If you have the order form, your retailer should be able to order it for you.

I'm not sure of the exact amount yet, but there should be enough for your retailer to order for you

Would it be telling if I asked if that was Tomas?

Yes, I got them all. I wasn't kidding when I told you I was a fan of Brett Booth. He doesn't do commissions does he? Not that he'll have free time with the schedule you guys have him on.

I've got my first review written, but I won't post it up until later. I want to make sure I've worded it ok.

Re:

LOL, you're thinking about when Tomas gets his Valeru armor, don't worry, you'll get to see it soon No, this is not Tomas, it is the injured Tsurani that tries to attack Tomas and Pug at the beginning of the story

I'm looking forward to reading your review

Here is Magician Cover #4B, it is subject to some changes before it comes out, enjoy

Didn't Brett start out with Jim.

For those that didn't know, i'm going to start reviewing some of these wonderful works....here's some information for you all:

Currently, I'll be reviewing Magician: Apprentice, Marshal and Red Prophet.

You can find these works at the Dabel Brothers official site:

http://www.dabelbrothers.com/

Information on Red Prophet can be found here:
http://www.dabelbrothers.com/project...edprophet.html

Information on Magician Apprentice can be found here:
http://www.dabelbrothers.com/project.../magician.html

Information on Marshal can be found here:
http://www.dabelbrothers.com/project...l/marshal.html

They have several other adaptations coming out, and I encourage you to visit their site, it's got some great stuff on it.

Here's my first review, it's of Magician Apprentice...enjoy, and let me know if you have any questions. Hopefully this review meets some sort of standards...just kind went with how i felt about the book.

Magician Issue 1

Magician: Apprentice is a coming of age story of young boys living in a fantastic realm of swords and sorcery called Midkemia.
Brett Booth's art brings the world of Raymond Feist alive along with Michael Avon Oeming and Bryan J.L. Glass' adaptation of the novels. Myth, legend and characters are woven between art and script to create a wonderful experience.
The story starts slow and builds to the end, setting the threads up to be followed and woven together. Who are the mysterious Elvandar and what do they track? What does the future have in store for Pug and Tomas?
The next few issues should be a joy to read, as the wonderful world is setup for us, and we start to learn the motives of those involved in the coming trials. Be sure to pick it up for yourself, especially if like great tales.
In all, I'd rate this book at a 7 out of 10 (slow start), with the potential to be an 8 or 9 once the action picks up.

And last but not least, here's my first review of Marshal. Red Prophet 1 and 2 will be reviwed very soon. I just finished Red Prophet 1 and started on 2...been a very busy week.

Marshal Issue 1

So you like action. Score!

You like guys and girls as heroes. Score!

You like bad guys that are near amoral. Score!

Now what if it's the future, and the old west, sort of?

I love the feel of this book from the first few pages....not much of a backstory, just BAM right into the action. If you liked Joss Whedon's Serenity, this is a story for you. It's about writing wrongs the old fashioned way, with your own two hands.

Without spoiling too much for you, our hero has a vandetta, and people know it. There are no qualms about bringing the bad guys down using whatever means are possible.

Jump right in with both feet on this book, it'll get you hooked right away. I know I am.

Rating the book would put me at a solid 8, good graphics by Abdul Rashid and an action pack story by Andrew LoVuolo will keep me coming back for more.
