It wasn't on Sky for me, I'm in Canada and it it aired on BBC for me. So I guess it depends where you live too.

I'm sure it does. Sky is our satellite service, and I think it's rather expensive. I'd probably go for it if I could get just the channels I want, but of course you can't. Plus channels like Sky Atlantic which has GoT is even more money on top of the basic package.

it annoys me how often British shows change casts. Oftentimes it doesn't even feel like the same show

It can be. They don't have the long contracts American shows have.
