Previous thread here

Sorry about the crap title, if anyone has anything more interesting than an episode title I'll edit it in.

ohh, first person to post on the new thread. its such an honor. The basics of what i said earlier, my heart broke for all the characters, especially Boomers, on the show except for Six and Baltar. They were the only ones that were happy in the end. Can't wait for July.

I was also thinking, there should be a Galactica Board....

Thx for the new thread Suga.

Who loved the season finale? It was even better on the Widescreen 51" tv.

From the 4-4-05 issue of Time:

6 Best Dramas on TV Now:

Battlestar Galactica: Intelligent life in space? The most anyone could have expected from a remake of the campy '70s series was better haircuts. Instead, Galactica has been reborn as a dark, thrilling story of a deep-space war between humans and the Cylons, a race of robots created by mankind that can disguise themselves in human form. In an intriguing twist on the old series, the new Cylons have a religion and justify their genocide as punishment for humans' corruption. The humans must weigh fear vs. liberty and military vs. civilian authority. As a spacebound parable of the war on terrorism, this series hits eerily close to Earth.

June it is, probably mid...it started filming already, so it should be sooner, rather than later.

Quick thought just popped into my head. I wonder if we're going to find out when the human cylons were made. Now that Helo and Starbuck has Caprica!Sharon we might be able to find out more of the origins of the human cylons. JULY IS TOO LONG!!! I NEED IT NOW!!!

I enjoy BSG but am not yet an avid fan. It can be a little depressing to watch.

Plus I am definitely way out of step with the rest of the fans on this show if what I've read here and at other boards are any indications of what the majority of fans like and dislike about BSG.

One of my unpopular POV is that I like Balthar more than Lee. I would like Baltar/Starbuck more than Lee/Starbuck.

It would have been interesting to see Baltar begin to develop feelings for Starbuck and be torn btwn Six and real blood and flesh Starbuck.

I want to know what makes Baltar tick. I want more on his backstory as to why he was so easy to turn against humanity. Plus the writers need to give him more conflict concerning his actions. I wonder how much that chip he got in head influences his behavior or is that seriously disturbed.

As for Starbuck/Lee I can't get into them I find Lee a little dull and I feel that Starbuck would chew him up and spit him out.

My last point is I would not want to be Adama, this is a guy who can't trust anyone. He is basically on his own.

Look at who is surrounding him:

Lee, his son, who can't decide if he wants to be a Head Pilot or a Politician defending Democracy.

Starbuck, who flipped out when she found out that Adama lied about knowing the location of Earth, and whose flip-out led to mutiny. What would she have done if Adama had deliberately hurt her and not told a lie to give the people hope?

Boomer- who may or not be a Cylon.

The Chief who suspects and is protecting her instead of reporting his suspicions.

Tigh- his second-in-Command and best friend, who sometimes go on binges and who married to a woman who has a destructive influence on her husband and who Adama does not trust.

Baltar- a Civilian Genius who is crazy and on the side of the Cylons and is in the inner circle of the government.

Last but not least a Civilian President who he must report to who has her own Agenda and who has several times gone behind his back and enlisted his subordinates, which includes his son to go against him. I wonder if she is under the influence of the Cylons since her erratic behavior began when that male Cylon touched her and whispered in her ear.

But this is ok!

We respect everyone's opinions....
