I'm a baaaaad girl. I haven't gotten to the last episode yet, the one right before the end of sweeps. Hopefully I'll get there tonight.

You better! You're not missing much though.

I'm agreeing with Sarah, it was weird.

*Sigh* Tell me about it.

Still, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The concept was interesting; as usual, it was the excecution.

It was a neat idea to send Dylan back to a planet on which he'd had a mission pre-black hole, and an even neater idea to have him tie up some loose ends from 314 or so years earlier. I love it when they do that. I do wish they'd explained a bit more about exactly what he did there, showed more or more detailed flashbacks, etc.

I have a rough time believing the girl was imprisoned for 307 years and didn't lose every single one of her marbles.

I'm glad they explained how Dylan got through the force field and knew to look for a force lance in the pedestal that held the energy source. Prior to that, I just expected that would be one of those "magic" things that happen all too frequently on Andromeda these days.

The part of the story about Dylan rescuing the girl and never coming back for her needed fleshing out. That's where the emotional resonance was, but it fell flat because we didn't learn enough about what went before.

How did the handy holographic walls turn solid?

The testing of the "conduit" struck me as pointless and silly. Dylan appeared more impatient and annoyed than anything else. Was the conduit supposed to be impatient and annoyed?

So, did Dylan set up the force field way back when to guard the energy source from the King of 314 years ago, meaning to go back, get the girl, and finish the process? And then he got stuck in the black hole? (It pains me to have to ask such basic questions about Andromeda when I never used to have to.)

My husband gave up halfway through the episode, saying "I thought they wanted to make this easier to understand. This is a mess." Actually, I didn't think it was anywhere near as big a mess as some other episodes, but I felt his pain.

Hun I believe that at the end of the whole scene Dylan told Harper that he designed it. I do believe that Harper asked that question.

Yeah, Dylan designed it. Though, you know, I'm getting kinda upset about Andromeda. The show tries to do character development, but they don't understand that they're focusing on the wrong characters. They need to do a bit more action, which is what the show's about. Yet, when the do action, the throw in clips from previous episodes. Do I even need to say how many times I've seen the renewed valour blow up? (Angel Dark, Demon Bright) when Andromeda goes back to the battle of witchhead. They use that footage like every two episodes. Where's the cash going? They have to have some kind of budget. I'm lost I tell you.

Yep, Harper asked that question. I remember the conversation. I was just double checking that I'd put the rest of the puzzle together correctly.

Hiya!

I haven't been here for a while.

Dylan is a conduit? I'm sorry but the whole episode was very predictable.

When do the new episodes start up again?

Late Jan, Feb or so for the new episodes. If the show makes it. The viewership is going down, regardless of the greater thrust of action orientation.

I thought it was doing well for a syndicated show.
