That may be the only way to prove it.

I would think the genetic soup has been diluted over the centuries. Then again, Niets are really into genes, so maybe they could figure it out anyway.

I was reading a blurb in a SciFi magazine (can't remember which one just now...it was one of those days when I sat down in Barnes & Noble and spent an hour going through a whole bunch

) about Andromeda's ending. One of the producers noted that Trance's sun was burning up the Seefra system, and said that we finally learn "where her sun has been". Um.....where was her sun? I'm afraid I never learned that (along with a bunch of other things.)

Actually, through Midochondrial DNA testing...you can trace your genetic heritage back through your mother for over 5000 generations.

This was recently proven that the majority of the human race comes from 20 different females.

I don't think it's a matter of whether they have the technology or not,it's a matter of whether they would accept the results.Didn't they have an episode in the early seasons where a brother or something of Beka was able to fake his DNA? Sorry,I'm still recovering from that Memorial Day Marathon.

That's true. Because they could be like "fraud" blah blah blah....so i think they should just try to kill her and then feel the pain they caused on themself

Well since Drago already has her DNA,it probably doesn't matter if she dies or not to them.I think it was a matter of them paying her respect by holding their fire.

When I saw the premiere episode of Andromeda I envisioned it to be a modern version of Blake's 7,my second favorite scifi series.I saw flawed characters forced to unite due to circumstances and for their own personal reasons aboard a almost human starship.It quickly turned into another "Let's go save the universe,that's what we do" type series.Entertaining,but nothing special.

Did you see the link to the Coda Q&A under the "Interviews" section? Very cool. Robert is answering people's questions about his original vision for the show on the Ex Isle board. Now I know where the Vedrans went and what would have happened with them.
