Yeah....Maura was supposed to be an Avatar for "The Light of the Universe" I can see this needing an avatar...however, she got taken over by the abyss...which doesn't need an avatar.

Here's the idea behind avatars...they are something familar that something abstrat uses to communicate with others...so a warship (Non humanoid) has a humanoid avatar....stars, moons, black holes...i get them all....NONE ARE HUMAN!....THE ABYSS IS HUMANOID! Why does it need an avatar? It can possess people????

Well, not necessarily Trance....but someone possessed by the Abyss...which means that the Abyss lead Dylan to the Meethas diagrams to begin with...explain that.

I think that the abyss really just wanted all of them there in one place to kill....it didn't hinge so much on anything.

Yup, the vedrans saw it all...they're omniscient, you know...and they still did NOTHING.

According to the Meethas diagrams, only Trance's sun can do it, I guess it has something about her being the oldest star, the "fire princess" as she's called.

Yes, Tarn Vedra is back...it's pretty now...and earth is destroyed, and Tara Zed is over run....and we're all happy now...can't you tell?

No no no no no...not hundres of ships Kathy....thousands....we must get it right, we don't want to underestimate Mr. Engles stupidity.

maybe this means that Dylan died.....is is dying....or just after he walked out, Andomreda spaced him.

Rommie -> Lives
Doyle -> Lives
Dylan -> Lives
Beka -> Lives
Trance -> Lives
Rhade -> Yup, you guessed it, Lives (so does his family)

Also...Where in gods name did all the cool ships go? I hate those little cruisers....ugg.

This is one of the many, many questions I asked myself while watching the finale. Although I suppose one can make the argument that possessing an avatar is little different than possessing a human?

At the risk of sounding hopelessly stupid, where was Trance's sun? It wasn't in the Seefra system until the end of the season. Where was it before? And why couldn't it do its magic from wherever that place was? What, it had to leave and come back before it worked?

Stray thought--anyone remember that planet where they found the Vedran in S2? And then the Vedran moved the planet? Did we ever find out where it was moved? To the Seefra system?

Quite possible that he "possessed" her, like any other humanoid.

You speak of Ral Parthea....yeah, no one knows where it went either....it was a system of at least 6 planets, including a gas giant, so they have to be somewhere...the giant didn't go to seefra.

Does that mean all the Vedrans magically reappeared? I mean, why not? If Seefra can magically become beautiful on its way back to the known worlds, the Vedrans can certainly magically reappear. Magic is such a helpful plot device.

Okay the ending of this whole show was pretty good. Though this season sucked cuz rommie wasn't in any of it and she had no role really...

Something else I meant to mention earlier....why is it that Becka thinks she can just announce herself as the Nietzchean matriarch and everyone will believe her? I know Rade believes her--he was there during the dust up with Drago. But all other Niets? Why would any of them believe such a ridiculous pronouncement without proof? Becka's too smart to behave that way. I know she'd never believe something like that right off the bat.

Didn't Tyr give samples of his child's dna for comparrison to Drago's remains? I can't remember.
Personally,I wouldn't believe a far fetched story about Beka being the Matriarch,I'd have fired on her just for her being Dylan's friend.
