Just got the news since I hadn't been on the computer for a few days. That's such a drag that it's cancelled. I can't believe it. It was a great run while it lasted four years.

As sad as this news is at the same time we also have to be thankful to USA Network. Let's not forget that without them we wouldn't even have had this wonderful show. No other networks wanted to take on 'The 4400' but USA Network took that risk and they gave us 4 great years.

Also, other shows that took The 4400's premise and ran with it (Heroes + PainKiller Jane) are successful due to this show no tv network wanted.

I finally watched the Season 4/Series finale. Except for how little Maia appeared in the episode, I liked it.

Man this really sucks... I told my mom cause she was a fan too & she was like "No way." Man Sunday nights during my summers were the best...

Yeah mine too. I was always looking forward to the summer's because of this show now there won't be anything good to watch.

As for Maia in the s4 finale, I thought she was awesome. I was so looking forward to her rebelling in season 5.

Nothing can be great to mourn the loss of our show but there are some things we can look forward to at least. So far there are 2 series books coming out that I know of. One of them is called "The Vesuvius Prophecy" (google 'The 4400 Vesuvius Prophecy' and you'll be able to find some info on it.) And then the reason the season 3 companion book was pushed back was because they are gonna be adding in season 4 with it also (like they did with seasons 1 and 2) so those should be released sometime in 2008.

The 4400 isn't gone completely. And who knows if the series books are successful, maybe there will be more down the line.

That sounds nice.

I'm so sad I caught on to this show late. While I already watched all the episodes, I was looking forward to a new season, especially with how S4 ended.

Yeah me too. The season/series ended great but at the same time there was a lot of open-endedness to it (such as a few of these):

-What happens to Seattle now?

-Will Maia start rebelling against her mom now?

-What will happen at NTAC now that all but one have abilities?

-What will happen to Diana, especially considering she has a resistance to Promicin?

-Did Tom Baldwin take the Promicin shot?

(As devistating as this news is, it did end on a good note. I had heard somewhere that Chad Faust [aka Kyle] had only wanted to come on as a guest star should the show have gotten a season 5. Considering how major his character became throughout the series it would have been weird not having him around as much, especially since by season 4 he became Jordan Collier's guide thanks to his ability. It really would have been weird without him. Especially since I have a major crush on him too

Yeah it really sucks that so many questions are going unanswered.

I really hope that they change there minds & do indeed bring it back...

Is the Dead Zone cancled as well?
