My son saw the movie and didn't care for it, so I'm inclined to avoid it. The series is going to be better.

The Movie was Bad Ass..!! Brad Pitt Brilliantly played "Jeffrey Goines"..!! The same CRAZY character is now played by a woman: Emily Hampshire as "Jennifer Goines" I am Enjoying the hell out of this new Amazing TV adaptation. You don't need to have seen the movie to like it or even understand it for that matter. I highly recommend you do see the movie though, just to see Brad Pitt's performance of Jeffrey Goines 8|

I'm a HUGE fan of the movie (one of my favorites) so I was really excited when I heard about the show. I'm really loving it, they managed to take everything that was great about the movie and transform it into tv format.

Agreed.! syfy is doing an amazing job exploring all the KooL aspects of this brilliant movie. Like last weeks episode with their fasility under attack from marauders. They are showing us a whole new world within 12 monkeys we never new existed.
