Man, that was hilarious, and really dead on. I think that all politicians flip flop to a certain degree, and although that segment was obviously manipulated for comic effect, it really proved a point.

I am so sick of hearing the Bush supporters saying "Flip Flop". The Bush supporters usually only have two things to say:

1) Bush will protect us from the terrorists because he is tough and stands up to them
2) "Flip Flop" Kerry

The "Flip Flop" crap is oversimplified. John Kerry had valid reasons for changing his mind on certain votes. As new information was received on Iraq, he changed his mind on the war. So did many of us! Also what's not mentioned is that other issues that were tied to the bills. These bills were not all the same thing! But to Bush and his supporters, everything is black and white.

Bush has "flip flopped" as well. This proves it. And he lied to become president. Many of his policies are in direct contrast to what he promised. The emogame also has other examples of his "flip flops".

And isn't it better to have somebody in power who looks at every facet of the issue and changes his opinion if it is appropriate rather than somebody who sticks to their doctrine regardless of its failings?

Didn't Bush "flip flop" last week about the war on terror and if it could be won.

thats just great. i love it. that whole flip flopping thing is lost on me. Its called changing your mind. That's what people do. They change their minds when they realize that what they originally thought was wrong. That's just crazy talk.

Or they change their minds when they find out anti-war candidates are leading in the polls.

Who was that? Dean, Kucinich and I think Sharpton were the anti-war Democratic primary candidates. Kerry and the others were for the Iraq War. Dean lost his lead starting in late December after Hussein was captured and media's message of Dean being unstable and angry started to stick.

What people (mostly Republicans and the media) forget to mention is that Kerry voted for authorization for Bush to go to war. He never had anything to do with the execution of the war nor the atrocious post war planning. That rest with Bush & Co. That's where the problem lies.

He's always said that he would have gone to war but would have done it differently.

Bush did flip flop last week on whether the war on terrorism could be won but the press gave him a pass on it..what else is new?

Of course he's changed his mind on why the US even went to war with Iraq during the last year so often that I don't even know the reason anymore.

Is everybody beginning to hate the word flip-flop? I know I am.

Funny how some people change their minds on a lot of things - the reason for going into Iraq, the chances of winning the war on terror - and it is conveniently ignored.

Kerry has made it quite clear that he supported the war but did not support the feckless way the administration handled the situation - little international support and no long term plan.

If we're going to challenge Kerry on his decisions (rightly so as we live in a democracy) then why don't we hold the current President to the same standards?

Lexis ITA!
I think we should question Kerry (and I am a Kerry supporter) because it's important to look at all sides of the issue but then Bush should be as accountable or EVEN more so since he is the current president.

How did he lie to become president?

Of course, every person changes their minds and views but Kerry seems to do it on such a broad range of topics and to such varying degrees.

But I must admit the "flip-flop" term is getting very annoying!

I'm sure you think so when it comes to Bush. But if the "flip-flop" thing is being used against Kerry, you don't mind, right? I mean, isn't that what Republicans use against Kerry anyway?

Actually I have to say I do mind. I mean it was cute at first to reference the constant changing of Kerry's opinions. But now even I can admit it is overdone. So I will patiently wait for another popular and catchy key term to emerge.
