What Candidates do you Like in 2008?

As Bush has failed the country and is rapidly losing support, maybe it's time to look ahead to better times.

What potential presidential candidates in 2008 do you like the best?

My list:

Russ Feingold (Democratic Senator from Wisconsin)
Welsey Clark (Democrat, former four-star general and candidate in 2004 primary)
Mark Warner (Democratic governor of Virginia)

Not Wesley Clark. He has some pretty fascist tendencies just ask those guys at NATo. Plus the idea of a general as president scares the hell out of me. Look at what Eisenhower did. He helped to great the GReat Military-industrial complex that has handicapped this great nation.

Is Warner still alive?

I honestly am not a political person. But if you want an answer, any political canidate is fine as long as they don't mess up with our country as it is now and whose last name does not contain the letters B-u-s-h

I don't really know much about any candidates yet to make a decision.

Yes, that's him. He also returns his pay raise to the Treasury every year.

He also holds "listening sessions" (town hall meetings) in all 71 counties in Wisconsin EVERY year. He's done over 900 in his Senate career altogether. He's often called the most honest and principled Senator in Washington and is easily the most accessible to his constituents.

I also think he has the best record on supporting Americans of any Senator in Washington. He also favors universal healthcare, which is a huge plus for me.

Hillary Clinton has a chance but I think a lot of her support is smoke and mirrors. Basically she has extremely high name recogntion but few diehard supporters. Most people who follow politics closely regard her as unelectable.

I don't expect her to get the Democratic nomination in the first place. If she does, we're virtually assured another Republican presidency.

I didn't know very much about Feingold but I'll be looking up some info on him now - he sounds like a principled, strong leader.

I also have a soft spot for Edwards - although I'm not sure he should run - and Obama. I love Hillary Clinton too but it would be the nastiest campaign in modern history.

As you can see, I'm a huge fan of Senator Feingold and would be honored to have him as our president. I can't think of any other politician in the Senate that does a better job representing his constitutents.

As for Barack Obama, he will run for president......but not in 2008. Most likely in 2012 or 2016.

I like John Edwards but he is probably too inexperienced and regarded as too much of a lightweight to win the presidency.

I know I wouldn't vote for her. I'm not in the mood to replace a Republican with a Republican in Democrat clothing. That's what she seems to be now. We're in trouble if she gets the nomination.

It'll probably won't happen, but I don't think you can get a much better Democrat ticket than Obama/Edwards. It'd be great.

Lexis, click on multimedia on the first link to watch some of his campaign ads from his 2004 Senate race. They're excellent and entertaining.

Being an Anarchist I'd like to see no candidates in '08 but the people ruling their own lives but since this isn't going to happen I'd like to see someone who values human life more and is not nearly as greedy as Bush. But again this is unlikely due to the fact that it's gonna be a race between two rich people who will most likely be white and male. Democracy has failed, only an Aristocracy remains.

as great a ticket as that would be they would never get elected because this country is not ready to deal with a black president or for that matter vicepresident. It's sad, but true.
