Why don't we ask the mental patients if they have a problem with it?? People are always concerned about whether things MIGHT be offensive towards others. Just mind your own business I say.

ETA: I clinked the link to see a pic and damn that thing is ugly! Who would buy that for anyone to begin with? People'd (can you say people'd instead of people would???) think you were a whackjob.

Hmm. Well, I know some mental patients but I doubt they would get that worked up about it. I see stuff like this everyday. Toys with freakish eyes and it says "crazy" or something on the box.

The idea is cute, though I understand that it may be viewed as offensive. Though, their intention seemed to be to use the straight-jacket and "crazy" in a positive light, seeing as how you give the bear to somebody to love, not somebody whom you want to insult.

too many people are worried about offending others, i say suck it up and move on. its just a toy thats being offered in a small state, i highly doubt people would pay that much on a teddy bear

I am tired of people getting offended FOR other people. Left and right everyone is getting offended over something and people need to just mind their own business.

Actually, the Vermont Teddy Bear Company has a lot of people that pay that much for their bears, (I bought one once for a friend of mine, and think the bears they have are adorable) and they're not only being offered in the State of Vermont. Regardless, I don't see what the hoopla is about, and I don't find the bear to be offensive. I think that this country has become way too concerned with political correctness and not wanting to offend anyone.

Awwww... I think its adorable. I personally don't think the creators had "bad taste" I think its a cute idea.
And I agree that people have been trying WAY to hard to be politically correct these days, I mean sure you can show some respect for people, but you don't have to go to far

ok, that has gone way to far. I understand that we should be considerate over the feelings of other people but it's a teddy bear. It's a very adorable one to.
