When it comes to uploading new stories to threads on the News & Politics Board... well, I can't say for sure, but if double posting is not allowed, then I've certainly broken that rule myself more times than I care to remember.

I think the idea of the double-posting rule is to make sure people don't "star post", if you know what I mean. With the posting of new stories such as the one you just added, I think clarity should prevail over that rule. But, at this point in time, that is just my opinion.

As for the Mr Patch's death, I hope it was peaceful. He deserved as much.

Hopefully, we will never forget the bravery of the men (and women!) who were on the front lines of that dreadful, dreadful war.

That actually isn't "star posting" as it's properly known.

Star posting is when you post gibberish and randomness in order to accrue posts in order to reach a set goal faster. Or, you know, just for the heck of accumulating posts.

So, in that scenario, double posting is very much frowned upon. But, ordinarily, I think the PTBs at are pretty much aware that (a) we're all humand and (b) it really needs to be looked upon on a case-by-case basis.

For instance, I really don't think double posting for the sake of either updating a story or bringing a new story to our attention would be warrant a reprimand.
