| Tom Cruise the Weirdo That's so gross .. Tom Cruise is so weird!! His whole obsession with Scientology is ridiculous - I had never heard of the cult (or whatever it is) until he started preaching it during interviews!! And why would he want her to give birth in silence?? Can't he understand how painful giving birth would be?!?!? I really really don't think it's possible! And eating her placenta would do what exactly? *sigh* | |||

| Okay, I actually know someone who ate her placenta (well, some of it, a placenta's a huge piece of -- stuff) after giving birth to at least one of her 3 children. She told me that the midwife pan-fried it, not too done, and that it was delicious. She wasn't a scientologist, it was an all-natural childbirth kind of thing. I have no idea. I was focused on smiling politely and saying, "Really? Wow!" at regular intervals without tossing my cookies. The reason she gave for doing this was that the placenta apparently contains certain nutrients that don't exists anywhere else that, among other things, will prevent the development of postpartum depression. And if that's true -- hey. Beats Xanax, or worse, some poor woman who becomes so depressed after giving birth that she loses her grip on reality and does harm to herself, her baby, or both. However, NONE of these nutrients do one damned thing for the father, so why the hell TomKat BatsInHisBrain Cruise would want to eat it is beyond me! __________________ Because the danger is on the right!
