| Toddler hits mum with family car Toddler hits mum with family car By staff writers and AAP March 14, 2007 09:19am Article from: NEWS.com.au A MELBOURNE woman was injured when her 18-month-old son started the family car and drove it into her, pinning her against a wall. The incident happened about 5.30pm (AEDT) yesterday at Rowville, in Melbourne's southeast, a police spokeswoman said. "The car was parked in the driveway near the entrance of the garage and the child has got in and started up the engine," the spokeswoman said. "The car has somehow moved forward and mum has become pinned between the car and a brick wall," she said. The woman, in her 30s, was taken to Dandenong hospital with pelvic injuries. She was in a stable condition this morning. The boy was uninjured. Last month a commercial for car manufacturer Hyundai showing a toddler driving a four-wheel-drive was pulled from Australian television after viewer complaints. "Many of the complaints were from parents concerned that the ad would encourage copy-cat behaviour in young children and might lead to accidents," said Mark Jeanes of the Advertising Standards Board. The award-winning ad was originally classified as PG and aired between 8.30pm and midnight. --------------------- OMGI know the tv ad very well, yes it's cute but babies driving a car? come on __________________ ★ Delta Goodrem ★ Icon Credit - Cheali | |||

| I remember one of my friends talking about a kid that got into a car and put it in reverse on accident. Luckily nobody was hurt, but it is very possible for a kid to imitate the parents and try to drive. The kid was only about 2 or 3 but still managed to figure it out. __________________ | |||
