TERRIFIC!!!

I even think the USA was the only western democratic country that allowed the death sentence on juvenile murderers.

I'm glad that finally we don't execute teenagers anymore, but on the other hand I hope that this is not yet valid for people who were already sentenced, such as Lee Boyd Malvo, who was that sniper in Washington. And I hope this only is valid for U.S. citizens, so if a 17 year old terrorist is captured, we should still be allowed to execute him.

But that ruling does show me again, that the supreme court is not republican, unlike what some people (e.g. Michael Moore) always claim. The court has ruled more often against the bush government than for it in recent years, I think. Parts of the Patriot act have been ruled as unconstitutional, judges can no longer sentence prisoners to death without a jury verdict, mentally retarded murderers cannot be executed any longer, and finally juveniles neither. It's either a liberal or an impartial, unbiased court, if you ask me.

Excellent. You know this is the one thing that we and the "Axis of Evil" has in common - we both allowed minors to be executed.

Ofcourse not when the majority of people on death row are never put to death.

Well, in general the death penalty is good. I do hope that all prisoners at Guantanamo Bay for instance will eventually be tried and hopefully get the death penalty. And that serial killer who they caught two days ago, that BTK guy, should be sentenced to death as well and executed after being in prison for like 15 years.

Please do not abolish the death penalty totally! But anyway, I don't have to be afraid of that, since I doubt the government or the Court would want to abolish it.

Because God forbid, we actully try and rehabilate our criminals! Just kill them, damn it! That will fix the problem. Stuff the hypocritical nature of it.

And I love the sentiment that its not OK to kill American teens, but peferctly OK to kill non-American teens.

Everyone has rights. Isn't that what we're fighting for, to preserve our way of life? We don't do that by adondining everything that we stand for.

That BTK killer has rights? Sorry, but no. There's nothing you can do for that guy. Some people are a lost cause.

Of course, everyone has rights. But, some make the choice to throw those rights away when they break the law(s).
