| Has there been any follow-up on this? Because this is nothing short of a miracle. The Middle East is one of the most unstable regions in this world and if we can do anything to establish some form of stability and peace it would be a boon for the entire world, not to mention, yes, the repercussions it could have for the credibility of the Iraqi government and perhaps even American involvement in Iraq (not to mention Afghanistan). What I found interesting, though, was the mention of the Saudis not wanting a photo-op. This is very important. If real progress is to be made in Sunni-Shi'ite relations the Sunnis in Saudi Arabia must not be made to feel that they are not being taken seriously (although America should not be held gunpoint to the demands of the Saudis). I have a question - what are these "repeated unfulfilled pledges to jumpstart the moribund peace process"? I haven't been reading the news recently ![]() __________________ go easy on me, I can't help what I'm doing | icon | |||
