You should definatly protest that. That's a lot of money being spent that could be used for other more important things.

I didn't get to go to the meeting because I was standing in the longest line ever at the bookstore and when I was done it was too late, but I needed my books. I'm going to try going next week though.

Hey everyone!

I have been volunteering with the Virginia Republican Party here. Just recently signed onto my college chapter and it is a lot of fun! The free bumper stickers & yard signs are a plus here!

Hey guys!

Anyone catching any of the RNC? I was busy last night and have work tonight! UGH! But I work in the Microforms department of the library and they have a TV so...I'm gonna bring an antenna and try and set it up!

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, from Survivor and The View, is supposed to be speaking tonight! Too bad she wont be televised...I LOVE her...so hot...

Thursday night I'm going to a Party for the President at the Nebraska GOP! Should be fun...oh and I put some Bush/Cheney '04 stickers on my backpack, .

GO BUSH!

Oh yeah! I just typed out my Absentee Ballot request and am putting it in the mail tommorow! I could change my address, but I am at college and it would be kind of a hassle.

Someone defaced my Bush/Cheney bumper sticker. Stupid immature children, why is it that people are so against others having opposing views? Sheesh.

Wow. Giuliani's speech was amazing. I think he may run for president in '08. Loved the little mention of Michael Moore in McCain's speech. Loved it even more when he repeated it.

I dunno if it's just me but it seems like Republicans are using the 9/11 thing to their advantage. That's one thing I didn't like last night was all the mention of how great Pres. Bush was during 9/11. Anybody else feel the same way?

Is there a transcript of the speech anywhere?

BTW - I made a shirt today! Found a T-shirt transfer I had in a HP assorted paper pack so I printed out a big "Bush / Cheney '04" logo and ironed it on! Kinda fun...I like being "political." I am really getting into this, LOL! I also printed out a sign and put it on my window facing the street and put one on my door!

I want a button to put on my backpack, but I am on a limited budget and the George Bush online store is INCREDIBLY slow for some reason.

I do kind of think that the Republican party is trying to use the memory of 9/11 to their benefit which is a little disturbing. I wish they would concentrate as much on the future as the past. It was a horrible, horrible event but I really don't think that one party or one group of people was specifically responsible for helping the country recover afterwards. The country really united and came together in a wave of patriotism to get over that so taking credit for it all is a little tacky I think.

mh, so cool that you are getting involved with the CRs and stuff on campus. I wish I had people interested in my group

Well this is Nebraska! This school tries hard to be liberal, but there are a lot of Repbulicans/conservatives.

Today I am going to the Nebraska GOP. They sent out an urgent e-mail last night asking for help stuffing mailings, so I figured I could spend a few hours doing that.

I also think they are trying to use 9/11 as well and it is a little distasteful, but the fact is Bush WAS the president when it happened and he handled the aftermath very well I think. He SHOULD be proud of the way he, other politicians, and the country came together in the aftermath. At the same they need to be very careful in what they say.

Last night was awesome!

Zell Miller was EXCELLENT! He nailed so many things RIGHT ON! I loved when he spoke. Cheney was quite boring though! He had hardly any charisma...somebody give him a drink or something, LOL!

I also loved Michael Reagan's speech.

I know! Miller was amazing. I loved his spitball line. Sadly how true it is though. I also liked how the announcer said before he came on stage was that he was the "democrat with a conscience".

That spitball line was classic!

Bush was amazing tonight! Awesome speech and I loved how they transformed the stage too! The Nebraska GOP had a "Party of the President" tonight where they showed the speech. It was a lot of fun to watch it with a bunch of fellow Republicans!

I love how Kerry is whining about being attacked...HIS RECORD is being attacked! And it SHOULD be!

Before the speech we watched a video with clips from all sorts of news shows that SHOW how Kerry has flip flopped and change his position on the War in Iraq, so many times!

As far as invoking September 11th, after watching the convention I thought it was perfectly fine! 9/11 was THE defining moment of Bush's presidency so why SHOULDN'T he mention it? It was the defining moment of the majority of our younger generation as well!

Go Bush!

There's a difference between mentioning it and abusing it.

And what is that difference? Just curious.

Anyway, haven't posted here in a really long time. Hopefully I'll be able to stop by and post here every now and then though.

I don't think they abused the use of 9/11. Most of anything that happened to Bush during his 4 years could be connected to that day. It defined the rest of his years in office, and it's not a surprise that it's brought up. Especially, in New York. I don't think they overused it at all.
