No one cares about McCain leaving his wife. Midlife crisis, that's nothing new. And you can't call Cindy a gold-digger because SHE'S the one with the money

He wanted to be young and found a Barbie in her late 20s. No big deal.

How is Obama's lack of military experience any different if Hillybilly had gotten the nom. Hell Bill had zero military experience. But he ran this country pretty good before Lewinskygate.

Seriously, had there been no Iraq war no one would be whining about Obama's lack of military experience or putting McCain on a pedestal for being a POW and war vet

Is John Edward "Hillbilly"? And are you saying that politicians from the south are "hillbillies"? If you are then I would say that's a big generalization and assumption.

The only thing that Obama can do is give interesting inspirational speeches.
Seriously, what has Obama done as a senator? What bills has he been a part of? It just seems like all he does is blame Bush for everything wrong in America and tells us that we need change and that he's going to make everything better. But how is he going to do all that? How is he going to make all your wildest dreams come true?
If you really think that Obama won the primaries - against the Clintons - just by giving inspirational speeches, then you are very, very mistaken.

I thought it was Billary?

Anyway it's like saying the only McCain is a Senator is because his wife bankrolled his career and Clinton only ran because she had a husband who was President. And Bush is only President because of his father and etc., etc.

I think I'm through commenting on anything you have to say because there is seriously NO point.

HillyBilly = Hillary and Bill. I've called her that in the other threads try some research. AND you'll notice that I have said in the other threads that I'm from Texas. So yeah, I'm stereotyping myself and my neighbors

in that case what are you doing Friday night?

I do believe Obama still has some work to do in getting America to know him. Hopefully outlining his economic plan this week will go along way in doing just that.

You never miss an opportunity, do you Lou?

The thing that always got me was Hillary Clinton saying that she was so much more experienced than Obama. To be sure, she’s been a senator longer than he has, but she had no direct experience before that, other than being the wife of a former president. Granted, I’m sure she gained some type of political experience being married to Bill Clinton, but it’s not like she herself has been directly involved in politics for 40 years like she claimed.

Ha, nice

I agree Jerry. Her experience talk is pretty much based on being in the White House for 8 years. But she's not a problem anymore Now keep her away from VP and all will be good

can't blame me for not trying

I guess we won't know who the VPs are for awhile. According to David Gergen of CNN he doesn't think either candidate will make a formal announcement until a week or so before their respective conventions.

Will you weep if Nader costs Obama the election? I just think it's funny how so many liberals and Democratcs hate Nader because he takes votes away from their candidates.

Obama definately has to get America to know him. I mean we don't know that much about Barry. And yes I call him Barry. I call him Barry because his name looks like a facility that soldiers stay in.

I think you might be reading some Democrats' frustrations with the "Nader factor" as hatred. I've seen him in interviews. If he had a shot, I'd love to see him be president. The man is fascinating. And he seems to have a real, working life ethic that he lives by.

And Barack is a Hebrew name that means "blessed," so I've always dug it myself.

I know what his name means. I was making a joke. Barack used to be called Barry. I mean his legal is Barack but growing up he was called Barry. He didn't go back to being called Barack until he got to college.

Stop making generalizations. You never learn do you? I said that I don't like third party candidates because they take votes away from major party candidates, but no, I won't "weep" if Nader costs Obama the election.

I doubt that Nader will even be that much of a factor this year. In 2000 we had relative peace and prosperity. With so many problems facing us now, voting for Nader and having that vote influence the outcome in anyway is something most people don't want to see.
