Pregnant High School Student Beaten To Death
Suspect In Custody For Fatal Beating

DALE CITY, Va. -- A pregnant 17-year-old high school student was beaten to death with a baseball bat in Prince William County, Va., police said.

Cheri Washington died Friday after being beaten while visiting a home in Dale City. Washington was a student at Hylton High School.
Police said Carlos Diangilo Williams is in their custody. They said he had a relationship with Washington.

William County police, said the two had an argument that escalated into a beating. Mangan said Williams used a bat and his hands and feet to beat Washington. Washington managed to flee the home, Mangan said. A neighbor then saw her and drove her home, where her mother called for an ambulance. Williams has been charged with malicious wounding, and police said more charges are pending. Police have not said what may have led to the fatal beating.

...........I seriously have no words.........it almsot makes me want to cry.........not just because of the story but knowing that its happening all over the US.......and the world........it just makes me sad

Wow, if my family would have stayed in the house we lived in before we moved to NC, I would have gone to her high school...That is so sad. And knowing yes, it does happen so frequently. Its insane that pregnancy is the time a woman is most likely to be murdered.

Well I do have to say that this world has sunk to a new low with ever more the cowards and criminals than we have ever had before. The numbers are growing exponentially because it is far too easy to take the easy way out these days and that can not be tolerable.

Just last week, there was an announcement at our school that they were investigating a beating on a pregnant girl who is presently in the hospital. She never saw who it was. The world in this day and age disgusts me.
