Online couple cheated with each other

Online couple cheated with each other

Article from: NEWS.com.au

A MARRIED couple who didn't realise they were chatting each other up on the internet are divorcing.
Sana Klaric and husband Adnan, who used the names "Sweetie" and "Prince of Joy" in an online chatroom, spent hours telling each other about their marriage troubles, Metro.co.uk reported.

The truth emerged when the two turned up for a date. Now the pair, from Zenica in central Bosnia, are divorcing after accusing each other of being unfaithful.

"I was suddenly in love. It was amazing. We seemed to be stuck in the same kind of miserable marriage. How right that turned out to be," Sana, 27, said.

Adnan, 32, said: "I still find it hard to believe that Sweetie, who wrote such wonderful things, is actually the same woman I married and who has not said a nice word to me for years".

In a way it shows that there was something there between them at one point....it just got lost over the years and that's pretty sad. But there was still a spark - still, it just shows, kids - cheating doesn't pay.

this provided a good laugh!
Amazing how they don't function in a marriage, but they do function when talking on the internet..

Is it weird that I'm mostly sad about this? I mean, yeah, it's funny and ironic... but it seems like they'd finally found a much-needed way to communicate and, instead of being grateful for that or using it to their benefit or whatever, they chose to let the resentment take over again...

Oh, well... I still think it's a wasted opportunity.

I agree with that, if they can function over the internet, they should probably function in real life as well and talk things over.
Perhaps it's the idea of talking about it with somebody you're not married to is what appealed and made it easier to communicate?

This just shows that cheaters never prosper. However, is it really cheating since they eventually found out that they just talking to each other on the internet? They must have had a really bad marriage if both of them resorted to cheating online.

I guess it's cheating in the way of talking to somebody else and deciding to go on a date with that person. Technically they wanted to date somebody else while still being married, just a twisted way of fate to make them date each other I guess

I think a lot of people have several definitions of what constitutes as cheating. Some people believe that you have to sleep with another person for it to be cheating while others think that if you're alone with another person in an inappropriate setting or place is cheating. I don't think a person has to have sex with another person for it to be cheating. For example, if a guy has a girlfriend and he is calling, emailing, and even meeting another woman in public without doing anything physical with that woman then I would say that could be considered cheating.

Come on, have these two never heard of "Escape" (The Pina Colada Song)???

LOL, they COULD HAVE turned it into a re-newed romance!

It's the whole deal about emotional cheating - it can be, and often is, just as damaging as "sexual" cheating. While the couple could have seen past their differences and realised that they still shared something, they just couldn't get past the fact that the other had been unfaithful. It's hypocritical seeing as they both were doing it - but it just shows how painful the feeling of betrayal can be.

I think emotional cheating is just as bad as sexual cheating. If you put yourself in an inappropriate situation with someone that's not your boyfriend or girlfriend, then it's probably wrong and you should get yourself out of it immediately. I guess I'm old fashioned because I would say that a guy who has a girlfriend probably shouldn't ever be alone with another woman. There's always the temptation in risky situations like that.
