It is a liberal college, but I don't know about hippie. My cousin who has many hippies friends told me that many of them are all around antipolitical. If you didn't watch the video those that handed out the posters WAR (White Aryan Resistance) choose Berkley because of its strong liberal ties.

Summary: WAR is handing out posters calling for revenge of serial murder that happened over 30 years ago called the Zebra Murders when black nationalist extremists murdered 15 white victims.

I think both sides are wrong. The black nationalists were wrong for the murders, but the white nationalists are wrong for seeking revenge on what happened over 30 years ago against innocent people. I have to wonder did WAR even know any of these people that were killed or is it just an excuse to start a race war?

I can't see the report but I agree Leigh. I don't know what the White Nationalists were asking for (physical retaliation?) but it won't bring back the people that were killed all those years ago.

What in the world does this have to do with anything? The posters would've been equally inappropriate regardless of where they were located.

I am not 100% sure because I am not Jacob, perhaps he made that comment since most people equate racism with always being associated with conservatives.

Ergh, I fail to see how it woudl be a political party issue. Just because a student goes to a liberal college doesn't automatically make them liberal. There's usually "College Democrats" and "College Republicans" clubs on most campuses, lol. In addition, that's assuming this was all student organized.

In the video the reporter stated the reasons giving for the posters and fliers being distributed around Berkley was done to the high liberal population.

Greg Withrow, leader of the group promoting the pamphlets, said Berkeley was targeted because "people there enjoy flying their little Communist flags."

Apparently, some people don't realize the '60s and '70s are over and that Berkeley, whatever it was then and whatever it may be now, is an educational institution above all. Sounds like Mr. Withrow needs to take a lesson on political ideology and U.S. history, if you ask me.

Yeah, I agree with Sunny. In addition, that doesn't change the fact that it would've been just as inappropriate if they'd distributed the posters on Bush's Texas ranch. I don't really see how it changes anything, except the idiots were purposely trying to alienate people.
