I had the first treatment of my tattoo removal! I think I have 5 or 6 more to go before those two are gone.

Did everyone have a good weekend?

I added the tags.

So, why are you getting rid of... is it two tattoos?

2 out of 5 are going. It's because I am going to enter the workforce soon and it takes a year to get rid of them. The others aren't visable when I am wearing normal clothes, so I am going to keep them.

Thanks for adding the tags!

Ah.

I have two tattoos myself, so I was wondering. I have to tell you that there's one that's visible (well, in summer, as it's on my ankle) and that was never a problem with getting jobs.

Mind you, it's a shamrock, so it's fairly innocuous.

Mine are very visable and large, also old.

The Shamrock - is that a heritage thing or is it for good luck on something?

It's a sort of heritage thing, I guess. I mean, my one English grand-father's mother was of Irish extraction. I think I might be hanging on to that lineage for dear life on account of how the rest of me is so inexorably French. I've always rooted for the underdog.

But I doubt most people would say it "counts."

It only matters what they mean to you. That's another reason why I am having these two removed. They don't mean anything to me anymore.

That's what I've always figured.

I had the most irritating day. One of the people I supervise came to work drunk today and I had to send her home. I didn't write her up or anything and she still whined about it.

How was your day?

Oh, I had the usual busy but fortunately crisis-less day.

I work in a law office. People don't show up at my place of employment unless they work there and are sober, you know?

The only annoying part are the clients. I have one client who is so unreliable that we are now in a situation where they have to pay us fully before we do anything for them. And, the last time, they sent their bank transfer at the last minute. And so I have to wait till the money goes through before doing anything. And they kept writing, five times a day, every day, "Did it go through yet? Did it go through?"

And now they got the bill, which was higher than that advance because it covered other things than the one thing I did for them. So now they're contesting the bill.

And I have to go see the lawyer in charge of their "file" to make a decision on that. But I didn't have time today, because I have other crap to do besides dealing with crazy people.

See, fascinating, right?

I think it's interesting. So are you a legal assistant?

I find no matter where or when, there are always people who don't want to pay their bills.

I'm not sure. My official title is Clerk. In my office, a legal assistant is a secretary. Then you have paralegals and then lawyers and then people like me, who do administrative work of all stripes.

I'm kind of a Trademark law jack of all trades, as it were.
