Yes! But some things have to be sacrificed in the name of progress. Any player you like, in particular? I like Robin van Persie. Actually, I have a crush on him. Haha. And Alex Hleb is so adorable too. Of course it's a good thing these people can play, too, and I'm not one of those girls who like football just for the players - God no.

You watched a match at the stadium! Coolness. I went to Highbury once. Just to the outside because it was closed, but oh well. Which match was it? I bet the atmosphere was great. Gosh, I'm jealous now

Ann: It's really not that big of a pit.
Leslie: We can do some of those things.

My name is Jenny, I am Norwegian.

I would consider myself very liberal, I am pro abortion, anti-death penalty, pro gay marriage, anti-Iraq war, anti-Bush, anti-Israel...
Our entire country was built by socialists and workers, so I guess you can say Norway is a very liberal country. Once our foreign minister went to the US, and Powell called him a communist. The funny thing is that he was the leader of what is considered one of the most conservative parties down here. We still laugh our ass off because of that, someone actually calling him a communist...
I guess some of you would consider me one too, but I am not, I consider myself a socialist.

When it comes to religion, I am an atheist and proud of it too. I have respect for all religions though, every religion has some good and some bad sides. I am quite critical to things, have often heard that I am "a hard customer".

I sometimes light up if there is something I burn for, then I often say things I do not mean, but I usually apologize afterwards. My dream is to become a journalist and I will do anything to reach that goal.
But basically I am like any other teenager (except of being interested in politics, lol), I like normal things like hanging out with my friends and family, boys, summer...

Well, I've been around here long enough, I might as well...

Those who know me call me Liz; I'm fourteen (Don't get me wrong--I can think for myself!), currently living in the U.S, though I'm not full American (Only half, mind you).
I'm a Christian, and very proud of it, and I don't consider myself to be either Democrat or Republican, because I can easily find corruption and error in both parties.

I have some controversial views; I'm anti-same-sex marriage. Pro immigration (what some people call illegal immegration), Israel supporter; I'm against the Iraqi war, but it's too late to pull the troops out just like that. I'm basically pro Love/ Pro Life.

I'm not a mean person, but if I'm pushed I might say something sharp...I'm working on a couple of books which I hope to get published I'm not the kind of girl who's never home. In fact, most would call me a homebody

My motto here: Get to know me before you decide to hate me

Hi Gwen/Lexis I guess that makes three soccer fans!

I've been here for a bit and so I might as well say hello...

Hi! I'm an energetic Canucklehead from Montreal. I likes me my poli-matics, and I actually joined the site so I could practice my debating before I started university. I heard about it from a couple of people, so I thought I'd try it out.

As the screen name suggests, I'm a moderate...at least, I try to be. :3 I think that the left and the right both have the abilities to have a few good points, but usually people manage to mess them up with one-sided baloney...myself included!

Of course, it's not easy. I'm prone to tip more to the left than the right, and sometimes that clouds my judgement. I do my best, though. I'll slip up alot while I'm here, but I'll keep on truckin'! One post at a time, and all that!

Here's hoping that we can get along, even if we disagree!

Welcome Moderate Bill! I seem to agree with you on many points from what I've read this far... (Hope you don't dislike me so strongly that you're offended by it )

Perish the thought! We don't agree on some things, but I agree with you on others! No worries there, my Norwegian compadre!

I'm Jacqui, and I'll be turning 20 in less than a month. I live in Sydney, Australia, and am currently in my second year of university. I have a thirteen-year-old sister who has cerebral palsy. I was not born into a Christian family, but I slowly became one myself a few years ago. I really, really dislike Bush. And I have an opinion on everything, even those I know absolutely nothing about.

That's all that needs to be said, I think.

I've been a member of ff for a long time but just recently came over to N&P. I'm from Canada and would say that most of my leanings are liberal. Most of the time I don't give a flying c.... what other people think, but every once in a while a topic comes up that I feel compelled to respond to.

This looks like a lively, spirited board and I look forward to jumping into the fray!
