I've been posting here for awhile but figure I should formally introduce myself. My name is Chen, I'm 21 from Israel. I've always cared about issues - when I was a kid it was animal rights, which would to enivormental issues which turned to gay rights which moved to adoption which moved to women's rights and I'm also interested in disabled rights. Who knows what will be next

And how are you, Hannah? Man, I love Dexter. Which kinda sucks for me because I have to wait for it to come out on DVD in order to catch up with it. I'm sure parts of Canada get American cable stations. I'm sure it helps if you have a satellite dish or are willing/able to pay or whatever. I don't. Have a dish. Or the money. But I do love Dexter.

I've been interested in politics since childhood which is why I follow the news regularly. Because I'm glad to be able to vote I do so everytime I can (next year will be the first presidential election for me, last year was my first "state election").
If I were allowed to vote for the president of the US, Obama would get my vote. Maybe that's too easy to say cause I'm no American, I don't know I'm really excited how the election will turn out

I'm Amanda. I'm 22. I used to be a regular on this board, and I intend to become one again.

I voted for Bob Barr for the following reasons:

I did not want McCain to become my next president because I don't trust him and think he not conservative enough to appeal to my conservative side and not liberal in the areas I'm liberal in.

I did not want Obama to become my next president because, among other things, I disagree with his plan to raise taxes in the higher income brackets. I believe that in America, life is what each man makes it for himself, and I do not want a president who believes it is the duty of the government to enforce people to support each other financially.

I voted for Barr because although I knew he had no chance of winning, he represented my beliefs the best of all the candidates, and I wanted to be able to walk away from the polling booth happy that I stayed true to my values, even if it wouldn't make a difference in the election results.

I'm Leila, I'm 16, and I live in California. I don't like political parties, so I don't associate myself with any, but my views are very liberal. My main thing is that I'm pro-gay marriage, and I get SO emotional and angry if I get into it with someone who is against is, so don't even start with me, lol. Also anti-Iraq war, undecided about the death penalty, pro-choice, and MOST OF ALL, anti-Sarah Palin Really though, I can't STAND her.
Oh, and also, I almost exploded with joy when Obama won, lol. (Hillary 2016, plz?)

I want to be an actress, and I spend almost all my time outside of school doing theatre. I also play violin and write. I'm a big TV fan, some of my favorites are 30 Rock, Gilmore Girls, Bones, Grey's Anatomy, Will & Grace, and Boston Legal.
