Welcome to News & Politics, Mary.  I remember the days of Buffy... At the time, I even wrote a paper for school comparing the series to the 18th century novel. Such a great show. Hello! My name is Sharon and I live in Ontario, Canada
I am a student studying mathematics/statistics but I also have a degree in biological sciences: pharmaceutical biotechnology. I do not clame to be so cultured in issues outside of the sciences, but I do love a good debate and I do want to becoming more informed in world issues, which is why I found this board. __________________

Hi Sharon! Welcome to N&P. It will be very interesting to have someone around here who understands the scientific/mathematical issues. Because, I'll be honest, it's really really not a strenght of mine.  I mean, I do the best that I can, but it falls apart pretty quickly. Which is embarassing considering how completely surrounded I am by scientists in my work and in my family. Anyway, welcome to the board. Glad to have you here. __________________

I think some people know me here, and I used to be a regular poster on this board. I'm Jerry, and I'm originally from New York and New Jersey, and I live in Texas now.
